An Australian healthcare worker has revealed some of the most “wild” and infuriating names she has ever encountered.

The professional, from Tasmania, shared that one of her favorite aspects of her job is discussing strange names with her co-workers.

“Recently, someone came to the emergency room and the doctor asked me how to pronounce the name ‘CVIILYN,'” she shared on TikTok.

“That’s really easy. I feel like it would be ‘Civil,'” he recalled thinking, but it was far from correct.

The young woman finally revealed that her name was ‘Caitlyn’ and provided a shocking explanation.

The health worker recounted the peculiar sequence of events.

‘A doctor went to the waiting room but no one answered ‘Civilian’ for a long time.

“One girl finally stood up and wasn’t very impressed with us; she said her name was Caitlyn.”

The ‘VIII’ in his name was actually Roman numerals and was pronounced like the number ‘eight’.

Another strange occurrence was when the health worker came across a little boy with an inappropriate name.

‘We had a child in the pediatric ward and the parents called him ‘Shi-thead’ and pronounced it Sh-theed.

“They had basically named their son ‘Shithead.'”

Many in the comments shared other “far-fetched” names they had heard.

“I met twins called Leon and Noel, I can’t understand how cool this is,” said one.

“I just picked up my son from daycare and there was a boy named Ricochet,” one mother wrote.

A third shared: “The worst thing I’ve heard as a nurse is ‘Kli-shae’, pronounced cliché.”

“My son has a friend at daycare called Allergin,” another mother revealed.
