If you’re a Leo, you might know the jokes about your “ego” all too well. Elsewhere, people born under the sign of Gemini were probably told they were “two-faced.”
Taurus have – unfairly and wrongly – been called lazy while Scorpios have a scathing reputation for jealousy and obsession.
But these caricatures of popular astrology don’t reflect the nuance of the signs, says psychic Inbaal Honigman.
Speaking to Pyschic Chat Provider, she debunked the most common misconceptions about star signs.
The expert has revealed the reality behind the half-baked stereotypes surrounding stars…

ARIES (March 21 – April 19)
MYTH: Aries are constantly angry.
TRUTH: An Aries is happy and playful, if they get angry, it won’t be for very long.
“Aries is ruled by the red planet Mars, planet of sex and war,” Inbaal said.
‘Therefore, all Aries emotions are great. Their enthusiasm is grandiloquent. Their joy is unparalleled.
But on the other side of the coin – “their rage can move mountains”.
But the astrology pro assured that these explosions will probably die down as quickly as they start.
“Aries can only endure such grand emotions for a short time,” she added. “Soon they calm down and become playful themselves again.”
TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)
MYTH: Taurus are lazy.
TRUTH: Taurus are cautious and will go out of their way to help others.
Inbaal says that, being Earth signs – the most stable element – Taurus’don’t run before they can walk, and don’t bother to be on the move”.
Those born under this sign are not great adepts at taking risks, preferring to “rest and replenish their resources.”
“They will get up if anything is needed,” she added.
“A Taurus will go out of their way for their friends and loved ones, and will be the first to volunteer if something needs to be done.”
GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)
MYTH: Geminis have two faces.
TRUTH: Geminis see both sides of the argument.
The two-faced Gemini trope is as common as it is harsh. But Inbaal said this was often a misinterpretation of their diplomatic nature.
“Gemini is represented by the symbol of twins, which illustrates their split personalities,” she explained.
“A Gemini can see both sides of the argument and can be both for and against many important issues.
“It doesn’t sound great when they agree with one side and then agree with the exact opposite, but they listen and accept all points of view.”
CANCER (June 21 – July 22)
MYTH: Cancers are too emotional.
TRUTH: Cancers are great listeners and aren’t just invested in their own emotions.
Inbaal came to the defense of the zodiac whiners, saying Cancers are about everyone’s feelings — not just their own.
“Cancer is a water sign, and like other waters, they live and die by their emotions,” she said.
“They feel things deeply, for themselves, but especially for others. The sign of Cancer is about family.
They love having everyone in their living room, from blood relatives to good friends who are “like family”.
“Cancer people have a great depth of emotion and can also give you the space to express your own emotions safely.”

Leos are known to love when things are going well — but that doesn’t extend to their own lives, Inbaal says. Used stock image
LEO (July 23 – August 22)
MYTH: Leos are selfish.
TRUTH: Leos have a love of success that also extends to everyone else.
Leos are known to love when things are going well — but that doesn’t extend to their own lives, Inbaal says.
“Leo loves success,” she said. “The sign of Leo is ruled by the sun and is therefore bright, visible and larger than life.
“They try anything and really believe that nothing is impossible.
“A little-known fact about Leos is that their love of success extends to everyone else, too.”
These seemingly boastful creatures will be just as happy for you as they are for themselves, which is often overlooked.
“They are wonderful agents, mentors and advocates because when they see someone they have trained find the success they deserve, the Leo will feel a sense of satisfaction as if they have achieved it themselves. “, added Inbaal.
VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)
MYTH: Virgos are perfectionists
TRUTH: Virgos aren’t perfectionists, they’re just methodical in their approach to things.
“Virgo likes to think first and act later,” the astrologer said.
“Instead of jumping on every opportunity, they’ll take a minute to see if that opportunity truly serves their higher purpose, or if it’s just a distraction.”
And Inbaal explained that the pragmatic nature of this Earth sign doesn’t mean they can’t relax.
“A Virgo won’t fuss just to fuss,” she explained. “And they also like to relax, but if something needs to be done, they prefer to do it now.”
LIBRA (September 23 – October 22)
MYTH: Libras are indecisive.
TRUTH: Libras aren’t indecisive, but they understand the duality of life.
With this Air sign represented by the scales, it’s perhaps no wonder they’re stereotyped as leery of judgment.
“Libra, like other dual signs, is happy to listen to both sides of the argument,” Inbaal says.
“They pay attention to situations ‘he said/she said’ and they know that every opinion has some value and a grain of truth. But they refuse to be the judge.
It’s not because they’re indecisive, but rather because they have a complex understanding of human nature.
“If you make them choose sides, they’ll push back right away, because Libra wants to be friends with both sides,” she said. “Libras understand human nature and how fickle it can be.”
SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21)
MYTH: Scorpios are jealous.
TRUTH: Scorpios are passionate but also altruistic.
Scorpios aren’t known for their fantastic reputation in the zodiac — but Inbaal says these deeply emotional individuals are misunderstood, often by themselves more than anyone else.
And although they can be caught up in intense emotions – often criticized for being possessive and obsessive – they are endlessly loyal and would do anything for those they love.
“Their traditional ruler is Mars, planet of sex and war, and so Scorpio’s emotions are broad, fiery, and passionate,” she explained.
“The modern ruler of Scorpio is Pluto, planet of death and rebirth, which is why he is able to reinvent himself personally.”
“A sign that perplexity will be easily misunderstood, but it’s important to remember that Scorpios don’t have selfish bones in their bodies and they actually sacrifice enough.
“Their complexity is more difficult for them than for those around them.”
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 21)
MYTH: Sagittarians are unreliable.
TRUTH: Sagittarians are adventurous.
“Sagittarians love adventure,” the psychic said. “They like not knowing where their next meal is coming from. They love to fly by the seat of their pants.
Because of their need to be always on the move, there is an inherent aversion to “institutions, long meetings and unnecessary rituals”.
But they would never impose their philosophy on others.
“They like life to be colorful, loud and hilarious,” Inbaal added. “And if you can’t match their energy, they won’t force you to.”
CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 19)
MYTH: Capricorns are obsessed with work.
TRUTH: Capricorns work hard, but put just as much passion into relaxing.
Capricorns work hard, says the astrologer – but they also play hard.
“Capricorn is a hardworking sign, and they put 100% effort into everything they do,” she remarked. “A dedicated and practical sign, a Capricorn puts just as much passion into relaxing, if timed correctly into the agenda.”
And that goes for everything – there’s nothing this goal-oriented Earth sign can’t achieve when he thinks about it.
“Whether the mission is fun or challenging, Capricorn will approach it with the same ‘can do’ attitude,” Inbaal said.

AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18)
MYTH: Aquarians are antisocial.
TRUTH: Aquarians place humanity above all else.
This Air sign, perhaps a little too aptly, is often stereotyped to be isolated with its head in the clouds.
But this pensive and philosophical nature is rooted in a love for people, rather than an attempt to be excluded from them.
“Aquarius is probably the most idealistic of the zodiac,” Inbaal said. “Aquariuses are humanitarians, committed to justice and social causes, and that can sometimes take over their lives.
“They can form loving, fulfilling relationships with other people, and can even thrive in groups, but if they see an injustice, they rush to fix it.
“The truth is, Aquarians place humanity above anything else.”
PISCES (February 19 – March 20)
MYTH: Pisces are too naïve.
TRUTH: Pisces are optimistic dreamers and will uplift those around them.
These whimsical thinkers are often marked as being a spaced-out touch – but Inbaal says this Water sign is still rooted in the communities around them.
“Pisces are dreamers and proud of it,” she added. “They create fantasy worlds as artists, creatives, writers and painters.
“They enjoy working in the care industries as nurses, psychotherapists, and healers, and even in those careers their special gift creates alternate realities for their patients.
“A Pisces will share their optimism and uplift those around them, giving them hope, and therefore strength.”
