A travel expert has revealed her simple trick that will help plane passengers save time when trying to leave the airport.

Most recently, the content creator and professional solo traveler took to TikTok to share her best tip for getting out of airports faster.
Lindsey advised frequent travelers to go to the departures level to be picked up – instead of the arrivals section.

She is known for sharing her vacation adventures on social media, where she has over 125,000 followers, as well as on her blog.
She captioned the viral clip, which has been viewed more than 1.1 million times, “I may look like a brute after a 20+ hour travel day, but at least I don’t have to wait one more moment to go home.”
“Here’s my airport secret,” she said at the start of the clip.
Next, Lindsey explained the hack that sees her head to the departures area when the arrivals section is full, which helps her get out of the airport quicker and get home quicker.
She said: “Come to the departures level if the arrivals level is completely full of cars, because the person picking you up can then get on here with no problem. And they don’t have to wait in line.
Talk to News weekthe travel professional revealed how she discovered the trick.
“I discovered this hack because the Austin airport has signs during peak periods encouraging travelers to use both levels for transfers to and from the airport.
“Not everyone pays attention to it, but those who listen to this advice have a shorter wait time.”
Lindsey noted that you won’t be able to do this at all airports because some don’t have separate sections.

“And obviously, if there are rules or laws in your airport prohibiting using this hack, don’t break them.”
Frequent travelers too told Newsweek: “If you don’t have Global Entry (a U.S. Customs and Border Protection program), which I highly recommend and which you can get for free through many travel credit cards, download the Mobile Passport Control app to expedite your entry through US customs.
“Not all airports support it, but those that do make it much easier and quicker to avoid those long customs queues.”
