A flight attendant has revealed her top four tips to ensure your holiday starts off smoothly.
TikToker Caroline, from Fort Lauderdale in Floridawho goes by @xoblondevoyage, revealed to her followers exactly what to do when traveling, especially in the run-up to summer.
These include booking your flights in advance, the optimal time to arrive at the airport and why you shouldn’t panic when you see condensation on the plane windows.
Caroline, a flight attendant in Florida, warned that airports start to get hectic in mid-June, and recommended customers take at least two hours between flights.
1. LEAVE MORE THAN 2 HOURS BETWEEN FLIGHTS
Jumping off one plane and running to the door of the next can be, to say the least, a very stressful experience.
For this reason, the flight attendant recommends that you give yourself enough time to transfer from one flight to another.
She said: “If you’re booking a connecting flight, make sure you have at least two hours between flights.”
Disclosing how often third-party websites only give travelers 30 minutes between flights, he explained that “it’s not enough time.”
He added: “Nowadays, even an hour is not enough time.
“You don’t want to get stressed and run off the flight and not make the next flight and the next one is overbooked.”
He urged his followers to give themselves at least two hours between one flight and the next.
2. BOOK AN EARLY FLIGHT
It may be unwelcome advice to those who enjoy an extra five minutes snuggled up in bed, but Caroline suggested that flying earlier will make your trip easier.
She joked: “I know you don’t want to wake up at three in the morning to catch a flight at five in the morning.”
“But I promise you, the sooner you fly, the smoother everything will be.”
Caroline explained that the sooner you arrive, the more time you’ll have to prepare if something goes wrong, so regardless, you’ll be able to make sure you get to your destination.
The flight attendant also recommended customers book the earliest flight possible, as this will make their trip much easier.
3. DOWNLOAD THE AIRLINE APP
Installing additional apps may seem quite complicated, however, the Floridian assures viewers that it will make the travel process easier.
She instructed me, “Download the app for whatever airline you fly with.”
Explaining how useful these apps are, Caroline explained that not only does it mean you have your boarding pass on hand, but you can even track your checked luggage.
He added: “You can find out if there are delays and get information about your connecting flight and which gate it is at.” There is a lot of information about them.
Caroline added that you should download the app for any airline you are using.
She joked: “It will help you a lot while traveling through the airport.”
4. DON’T PANIC ABOUT CONDENSATION
In another video, imparting her advice to less experienced travelers, Caroline urged them not to panic about the smoke.
While flying, there may not be a hint of “smoke” on the top panel of the head.
However, he explained that it is perfectly normal to see this when you are flying in the sky.
“I get asked this every time it happens,” he wrote, divulging: “This is not smoke, it’s condensation, it’s normal.”
