The Maryland-based doctor shared another user’s video of him using the hack to get rid of his headache.
In a viral clip, which has so far garnered over 3.1 million views, he explained why the hack worked.
The health expert paired another user’s videos, in which the latter was putting her feet in hot water.
“If you suffer from migraines, here’s a trick to try that has no side effects and may help: soaking your feet in warm water, but why exactly does this help?” he said at the start of the video.
He explained that the hot water helped “dilate the blood vessels” in your feet, which meant blood flowed from your head.
When the blood is removed from your head, the pain you feel decreases.
“This will dilate the blood vessels in your feet, directing blood away from your head, which will relieve pressure on the blood vessels causing your migraine, which in turn will decrease your pain,” Dr. Sood explained.
People flooded the comments section and thanked the doctor for his advice.
