The McFly star, 38, was crowned the winner during Sunday’s final after surviving three weeks in the Australian jungle.
But while fans got a close look at the antics of the singer and his campmates on the ITV show, there are some elements of the show that didn’t make it to screens.

And Danny revealed a surprising secret about camp life that viewers may not have known.
Danny recounted how campmates’ vision would darken whenever they left camp for tests or challenges, no doubt in an attempt to keep the route and surroundings a secret.

While fans got a close look at the antics of the singer and his campmates on the ITV show, there are some elements of the show that didn’t make it to screens.
Detailing the experience, Danny shared: ‘The team was amazing. That’s a really big piece of land you’re on. When you go to a test or a challenge or Deals On Wheels, you get in a van, it’s darkened, you have a towel over your head…
‘It’s almost like SAS! They almost captured you. It’s all a psychological issue, not letting you leave the camp, that’s what it’s all about. ‘
Danny then explained that the bosses employed the same tactic when the campmates’ loved ones visited them in the jungle, so it was a big surprise for them.
He said: ‘I thought it was a challenge that day. The guys were like, ‘Just walk in the bushes, mate, read the laminate and I was like, ‘Okay, cool.”
‘I walked through the bushes and my family was there, it was like the best surprise I’ve ever had in my entire life. Incredible.’
Meanwhile, Danny opened up about the weight loss he had during his time in the jungle following a three-week diet of rice and beans.
Harry informed him, “You looked absolutely ripped, that was a plus, you looked great.”
To which he responded: ‘Thanks man, I lost a little weight, I lost like 5 kilos.’

The singer told the publication that it was one of the hardest nights he had ever experienced.
And it wasn’t just the weather that made the experience uncomfortable.
The McFly star revealed that everyone was forced to fight off the leeches and the creatures became such a nuisance that Danny was forced to make sure no one suffered from them.
He explained: “It was one of the hardest nights, we were all quite packed together and I think there were still 12 of us then, all very hot in close proximity.” The rain also meant that the leeches were looking for you and I was literally under the control of leeches every day.
