I’m A Celebrity star GK Barry revealed why she turned away from religion as a child during Monday’s episode of the ITV show.
The TikTok star, 25, whose real name is Grace Keeling, has struck up an unlikely friendship with the Reverend Richard Cole, to whom she made the confession.
As the couple talked about faith, GK asked Richard, “Was it hard enough for you to be gay and do that job?”
Richard confessed: ‘No, not at all. I have never given a moment’s anxiety about whether God thought it was right or not.
‘Whether other people thought it was right or not, well, I’m happy to have that argument…’
He added about his sexuality: ‘Besides, I wasn’t the first. Sometimes I look at documents from the early Church or the Church of the Middle Ages and think, “How gay.”
GK admitted in the Bush Telegraph: “I entered this jungle, perhaps not knowing who I would join up with or be close to here and never in a million years if you told me I would get on better with a Reverend, would I have believed you.
“But honestly… I think he might be my favorite person here.”
During their talk, GK asked Richard who is the most interesting person he thinks he has ever met. Richard replied, “I think I’m looking at her.”
Days earlier, GK opened up about his relationship with Lioness Ella Rutherford, and even brought a subtle reminder of her to the I’m A Celebrity camp.
GK told Richard that she used to be religious and talked about going to a religious camp when she was younger, where there were men who told her not to have sex before getting married.

A sweet dedication to the Ipswitch football star, 24, was revealed on GK Barry’s nails as he has a small white E on his nail where a wedding ring would go.
Before heading into the jungle, GK got a set of French tip nails and asked the manicurist to paint them an E for Ella.
GK opened up about his relationship with his I’m A Celebrity campmates on Tuesday night’s episode.
The social media star said: “Obviously online I’d been like I’d slept with girls or something but I’d only dated guys.”
‘It was by accident that I found Ella, through a mutual friend and then I really liked her the first day I met her, but I never told my parents.
“I mentioned, ‘Oh, I’m just going to see my friend Ella,’ or ‘I’m staying at Ella’s house,’ so they would hear her name.”
After her parents visited London from Cambridge and saw them together, they asked who Ella was and Grace confessed: ‘Oh. She is my girlfriend.’ “They just love her, they never had any problem with that.”
She added: “To be fair, I feel like the cupboard could have been made of glass.” But they’ve always said we don’t care who you end up with, boy or girl, we don’t care, as long as they’re not idiots.’

It comes after Grace opened up about her relationship with her I’m A Celebrity campmates on Tuesday night’s episode.
The Loose Women panelist had previously been in a long-term relationship with TikTok sensation Billy Hunt, who appeared on her podcast, Saving Grace, and on her social media pages.
Gogglebox’s Joe Baggs introduced the couple and, speaking about how they met, Grace said: “So my side of the story. Joe Baggs had a party. (Billy was) the only straight guy there, (I) threw myself at him .It has gone down in history since then.
The couple split last year and Grace spoke on Young Filly’s about coming out as a lesbian, saying: “I feel like I was so wrong about men.”
‘I don’t like men anymore. I will never go back to a man. God forbid.
‘Yes, I just love it. I love it. I feel like I have spring in my step. I feel like I’m shining. It’s the lesbian glow. I have it. And yes, that’s the update of my life.”
