I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australian viewers have threatened to boycott the Channel Ten soap amid reports the Irwins are trying to take it over.

Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed on Saturday that mumager Terri Irwin could be angling to land a co-hosting slot for Bindi alongside Robert next year.

Although Channel Ten has denied the rumours, fans have rallied with threats that they will never watch the show again if Terri, 60, installs her children as sole hosts.

“Another reason to avoid Channel 10,” wrote one disgruntled Facebook user, while someone else added: “That’s one way to ruin the show.”

Others commented: “The end” and: “RIP Channel 10, they’ve lost the thread.”

“No way Bindi, let this be Robert’s time to shine. Don’t take this away from him,” another pleaded.

Several others said they would rather see the entire show cancelled than have Julia Morris replaced by the Irwins.

“If that’s the case, then in my opinion, cancel the whole show. I’m sure I won’t be watching it,” one viewer commented.

“I won’t see it, it couldn’t be worse…” another agreed.

More angry messages followed, including: “I couldn’t stand it,” “I hope not!” and “You’ve got to be kidding,” along with angry emoji reactions.

“No thanks, I don’t like either of them. If Bindi takes over, people will never see it,” one user commented.

Another wrote: “What? They only know about animals. They are great at the animal farm they own. There are real people on TV.”

Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed on Saturday that mumager Terri Irwin, 60 (right), could be bidding to land a co-presenting role for Bindi, 26 (centre), alongside Robert, 20, next year.

The uproar comes just days after Daily Mail Australia revealed that Bindi, 26, could step in and host I’m A Celebrity Australia alongside her younger brother Robert.

Conservationist Robert, 20, made a big impression on fans when he took over as co-host of I’m A Celebrity this year alongside long-running presenter Julia Morris.

He earned two Logies nominations just months after his big debut, and is up against TV veteran Julia, 56, in the most popular presenter and personality categories.

Amid her huge success, rumors have begun to circulate that Terri is pushing for Bindi to join the franchise as Robert’s co-host in 2025, which Channel 10 has denied.

Although Channel Ten has denied the rumours, fans have rallied with threats that they will never watch the show again if Terri installs her children as sole hosts.

A source close to the show told Daily Mail Australia: “I’d say someone at Ten is looking at how to ensure I’m A Celebrity returns for the next ten years and that’s why there’s potential for the Irwins to completely take over the celebrity-based competition.”

Terri Mumager, who runs Australia Zoo with her two children, is said to be keen to see Bindi join Robert as co-host to give the reality show a “refresh”.

“Terri would have more control over the show and this would be an exciting brand update,” the source continued.

‘The Irwins would love to contribute their passion and positivity to the programme and raise more awareness about our natural world.’

The source also claimed that Robert’s recent appearance on The Project to interview his older sister Bindi was a “screen test” to check their chemistry as on-screen hosts.

They shared: ‘These things aren’t a mistake. They don’t happen by accident and this was a great opportunity to see what the chemistry would be like if the executives put them together in the jungle. Australia saw a live screen test.’

However, Channel 10 denied the claims and insisted there are no plans to replace Julia as Robert’s co-host.

A spokesperson said: ‘This rumour is not true. Julia Morris is synonymous with I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and our viewers love her.

‘The chemistry between Robert and Julia in the jungle this year has really resonated with audiences.

‘They are both nominated for a TV Week Gold Logie, Julia’s third, and are both also nominated for the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter, so we know this presenting combination is a hit with fans.’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted representatives for the Irwins for comment.
