I’m A Celebrity’s Reverend Richard Coles revealed he was once knocked out by a homeless man after a huge misunderstanding.
The former vicar, 62, was in deep conversation with GK Barry about funerals, strange body parts and everything in between when Richard made the shocking revelation.
The podcast host asked Richard if he had ever been involved in a fight and the star’s response surprised both fans of the show and his campmates.
Richard explained that he had in fact been involved in a fight many years ago, but that the context around the fight was more funny than scary.
He told Grace that he got into an altercation after his dog ate a stranger’s sandwich, explaining: “A homeless man knocked me out because my dog ate his sandwich.”
And the influencer could barely contain herself while Richard told his story.

The reverend continued: ‘My dog came over to say hello and ate his sandwich. And I walked over and he raised his fist and I said, ‘Don’t hit the dog.’
And he hit me! That knocked me out.
Elsewhere in the conversation, Grace asked Richard what he thought about funerals and if he would preside over his.
In a moment of inactivity on the field, Grace asked, ‘Would you like to be able to go see your funeral just to see what people say?’
Richard responded that he would like to see it done according to his wishes, as he told Grace: “My funeral at the moment will be at 5pm.”
Speaking about funeral catering, the YouTuber expressed her firm opinion: “I am very against quiche being served at the wake.”
Speaking to the Bush Telegraph about Richard’s funeral, GK said: “Rev wants a funeral that lasts 17 hours, it seems excessive but I understand.” I’ll be there, I hope I’m at least in the sixth row.’
Asking the reverend if he would officiate at her funeral, she said, “I want some short, snappy fun, coming to ‘Staying Alive,’ going to the crematorium, some fun at ‘Burn Baby Burn’…”
Elsewhere in the conversation, Grace asked Richard what he thought about funerals and if he would preside over his own.
She went on to say that she hoped her new friend would “hold on” until she died.
She said: “So I told him he had to hold on and wait for me to die.” He can do my funeral. Then you can die. I can see it giving it a little pizzazz, so I like it.”
Explaining that he liked to dress up for funerals, the famous vicar recalled a funeral he conducted in winter where he wore celebrant’s clothing, including a long cloak and hat.
He told Grace: ‘I was walking down the hill, looking like that, feeling pretty pleased with myself, it was a good funeral and a van drove by and he looked out and shouted, ‘Hey, bloody Dumbledore!”
And Grace once again fell into a fit of laughter.
Elsewhere in the episode, the reverend candidly confessed a strange quirk.
He shared: ‘I have concave nipples. They come out, but my default nipple position is on the dock.
Discussing their unlikely friendship, Grace said: “The reverend and I talk about the most random things all day.
‘I think I’m going to have attachment problems when I leave here. I’m going to start going to church just to see him.
Richard echoed Grace’s thoughts, telling the camera: “She’s so funny.” I love his angle on things. And she is a decent, kind and good person.
‘I love GK and I hope we stay friends. She just makes me laugh all the time. I think we’re on the same wavelength as each other.
‘I would like to have her close to my life. That would be great.’
