Recently, speaking about her plight as a single woman in the country, she told TikTok: “Can we all agree that dating in Australia just isn’t it, at all?”

Georgia continued: ‘In comparison, there is no urgency here with men.

“I feel like guys just don’t make the first move here, which is a little disappointing when you’re very single.”

While the content creator didn’t mind the Aussie’s overall calmer approach to life, she did have one request: make more advances while dating.

“I feel like Australians in general are a lot more relaxed, but if you guys could be a little less relaxed when it comes to dating, that would be great.” Has anyone else experienced this or is it just me?

TikTok users were quick to express their thoughts, with some Australian men taking it upon themselves to defend themselves, but women were also quick to agree with Georgia’s claims.

One admitted: “We’re just afraid of rejection,” and another urged: “Make it really clear to us, please.”

However, one woman did not hesitate to joke: “Listen, Australian men are hell, they don’t get close and they don’t take anything seriously.”

Another agreed: “Too many here are toxic and we’re better off not getting any closer but going camping and it will be a lot more peaceful.”

And one chimed in: “The radio literally just said that only 40% of Australian couples have Valentine’s plans and Australia is the least likely to have plans compared to the world.”

Another said: ‘Australia is big on equality’, while one man wrote: ‘First of all, I don’t think I’m attractive enough to be anyone’s type.

“I hope the approach goes wrong, and secondly, I haven’t seen any girls show any body language or signs of being interested in doing it.”

One woman confessed: “Yes, that’s why my last two boyfriends were from the UK, even though I’m in Melbourne.”
