Police investigating the death of a mother of three who was shot multiple times have raided her estranged husband’s home.
Rebecca Bliefnick, 41, was found dead in her home on Feb. 23 by a relative after they became concerned she had not picked up her three children from St Peter School in Quincy, Illinois.
Officers raided a home on Hampshire Street at 8 a.m. Wednesday, just a mile away from Rebecca’s home on Kentucky Road.
Her husband, Tim Bliefnick, 39, lives on the property and it is understood the couple were undergoing divorce proceedings.
Sources say Bliefnick was “very cooperative” with officers and handed over his keys to the house he is renting and his car.

Bliefnick was stopped by officers outside his home and taken to a relative’s property after talking to officers, it said Muddy River news.
Quincy police confirmed they raided the premises and one person was ‘temporarily detained’ but then released.
They stressed that no arrests have been made in connection with her murder and that they have not filed an arrest warrant.
Rebecca’s estranged husband does not own the raided property, and it is unclear who was detained by police.
Concerned relatives raised the alarm after Rebecca, a nurse, failed to collect her three sons from school.
Officers responded at her home at 3:32 p.m. and have since remained on the scene removing evidence from the property.
Police Chief Adam Yates said such a violent crime is “rare” in the small town, which is home to just 40,000 people.
In a statement, police said: ‘No injuries have been reported during the service of the warrant. As part of the warrant, one person was temporarily detained in the 2000 Hampshire block and released.

“The information we have gathered over the past six days and the evidence we have gathered has brought us to this point in our investigation.
“During a criminal investigation, it is not unusual to obtain and serve numerous search warrants for a variety of reasons. Search warrants are a normal part of the investigative process.
“Our detectives will be guided by the information and evidence as they continue their investigation.
“The Adams County Sheriff’s Office and the Adams County Ambulance Service assisted in serving the search warrant.
“It is important to remember that all individuals are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”

Rebecca and Tim were reported to have married in 2009, but at the time of her death, they were in the process of divorce proceedings, although nothing had been finalized.
The couple have three sons together, but were living separately at the time of her death, and court documents show their split was filed in February 2021.

Rebecca was married to her husband Tim Bliefnick, and the couple had three sons, but it is understood that the couple were living separately at the time of her death.
Adams County Medical Examiner did not immediately respond when DailyMail.com reached out with a request for comment.
Police confirmed that they are keeping an open mind, calling on additional witnesses and have not ruled out anyone as a suspect.
In a statement, police chief Yates said the investigation is “difficult” and that they are “taking their time,” before promising that there is “an incredible amount of work going on behind the scenes.”
He added: “The Quincy community has not experienced a crime of this magnitude since the beginning of 2019. All deaths are tragic; the circumstances of Mrs. Bliefnick’s murder are beyond comprehension.
“Our community is shocked, tense and they want answers. The members of our police department dedicate their lives to protecting the members of our community.
“When a crime like this occurs, it becomes our mission to ensure justice for the victim and a restored sense of security for our residents.

“Once again, my condolences to Mrs. Bliefnick’s family and friends. May God be with them, with her and with the investigators who seek justice on her behalf.”
