Iggy Azalea reveals she was unable to walk for three weeks after undergoing “what was supposed to be a run-of-the-mill back surgery.”
Iggy Azalea was unable to walk for three weeks after an ‘ordinary’ back surgery.
The 32-year-old rapper tweeted about her ongoing recovery on Monday, saying she was left in agony after what should have been a routine procedure and can now only do “lil” workouts that are “sad.”
Azalea said, “Do you want to hear a crazy story?” I was supposed to travel to Australia and film a movie, but just before I left I had what I thought would be a rather mundane operation on my back to fix the problems I had after touring two summers in a row with a injury… .

“It ended up not being very mundane because I had complications in my recovery and ended up in bed, hooked up to a million machines and in so much pain that there are about 3 days that I actually can’t remember at all.
‘I haven’t walked except to use the bathroom (a whole other ordeal lol) for 3 weeks and you’d be shocked to know how weak you can get when you’re not really moving. It happens very quickly.
“A week ago I was cleared to get up and start moving again. I’ve been seeing someone at home daily and we’re doing little workouts (they’re all so sad lol) ‘I’ve come back strong. I will recover 100 percent. My goal is to be in good health by Christmas,” Azalea said.

The singer, who has a two-year-old son Onyx with her ex Playboi Carti, added that the experience was “very mentally challenging” as she was “suddenly” unable to do “everything” for herself and “no answers” about when she would. to recover.
She added: ‘That was the hardest part, but all the doctors are so happy with how quickly I’m getting better now that I can move and walk again.
“Obviously I won’t be in any movie. Missed that opportunity (damn it!) But I’m just grateful to see the light at the end of the tunnel now.
“I think I will seriously work on my condition after this. I appreciate my body in a whole new way after this experience.’
She said she still can’t fly and told fans, “Stay healthy everyone and pay attention to what your body is telling you!” I’ll let you know how it goes in a few weeks.’
Iggy then responded to fan comments, saying her recovery has already taken five weeks, and that she’s been fighting to be able to stand for just three minutes to half an hour, but is determined to make a “100 percent” recovery.
