Queen guitarist Sir Brian May has been branded a “hypocrite” and forced to defend himself for traveling on a private jet during a tour.
Sir Brian May was knighted for his charity work to “protect our precious planet”, while insisting that humans “must stop doing what we are doing”.
He shared a video on Instagram of the plane in Japan and revealed that a follower had called him a “hypocrite,” which offended him, saying he always offsets his carbon emissions.
Sir Brian said: “Some people might object to us being comfortable on tour, but we pride ourselves on working at the highest level, which means taking every opportunity to work with the best professionals… from drivers, caterers, accommodation, even clothing, sound, lights, etc., and taking care of them all.
And really, at the age of 76, doing 2 hour 20 minute shows and traveling most days, it would be quite difficult to do all this without these amenities.’
