A German reality star from the hit show The Bachelor was on a “horror flight” to Ibiza, during which the passengers “screamed, cried, prayed and vomited”.
Eva Benetatou, 31, was flying from Hamburg to Ibiza on Sunday with her two-year-old son, George Angelos, when Eurowings flight 7514 was caught in a severe storm over the Balearic Islands.
The reality TV star, who was a guest on the German version of The Bachelor, took to Instagram yesterday to open up about her horrific experience.
‘It was the worst day of my life. Outside everything was white. They threw us and once we even crashed on the roof. We no longer knew where we were going up,” she said.
Footage taken by another passenger shows the terrifying turbulence that sent passengers flying out of their seats and screaming in horror.

Eva said: ‘The whole plane was a loss. She could see where pieces were missing. Of course they said the plane was fine, but it wasn’t. We could see it all when we got out. She also shared messages she received from another passenger, who allegedly stayed in the same hotel as an engineer working on the aircraft, who said the radar failed and then the power went out.
Eva added: ‘I thought our life was over. Everyone was screaming, crying, praying and throwing up.’
The flight took off from Hamburg despite storm warnings for Ibiza, where the plane had to “circle for more than an hour” because it was not allowed to land due to bad weather conditions.
She previously worked as a flight attendant for Germanwings and said she had never experienced a “terror flight” like this: “I’m traumatised. You can’t imagine how intense that was.
‘I was afraid for my life. It was the worst nightmare.”
After about ten minutes, the terrible turbulence while flying through the storm over Ibiza ended and the plane headed for nearby Alicante for an emergency landing.
The plane had “clearly” sustained some damage during the storm, Eva said.

“He told us that the radar failed, so the pilot no longer had current location information and flew directly into the storm.
“Then the power went out and he had to manually land the plane in Alicante,” says the passenger.

Eva worked for four years as a flight attendant at Germanwings and said she had never experienced a flight like this: “I’m traumatized. You can’t imagine how intense that was. I was scared for my life. It was the biggest nightmare.”

Even when the plane landed safely in Alicante, the passengers had to wait more than 90 minutes until they unloaded the plane, in a temperature of 35 degrees. Instead of taking a flight from Alicante to Ibiza, she flew back to Germany with his son, who was so shocked and scared that he didn’t say a word during the ordeal.
