An Australian man was baffled to see an unexpected guest in his home.

The Brisbane man saw a yellow cockroach by his window and had no idea what type of insect it was or if there were more lurking.

Sharing an image on Reddit, he asked: ‘What is this? And should I send him to meet his maker?

Unlike normal brown cockroaches, this one was yellow and orange and in the sun its wings seemed translucent.

Fellow Redditors were quick to point out that the bug was most likely a native cockroach, which is usually found in warm, tropical environments.

“Native cockroaches are really strangely cute,” one wrote, another said: “Native cockroaches are good, just move them out of your garden.”

A third described the bug as “a friend, not an enemy.”

Although another person joked that it looked “radioactive.”

Someone else said: ‘Golden Snitch.’ You win!’

Last week, a mother scratched her head after finding a strange trace on the baseboards of her home.

The woman, from Victoria, was perplexed when she noticed a line of tiny specks on her baseboard to the floor.

Many warned that they needed to call an exterminator as it was a sign that their home was infested with termites.

‘Does anyone have any idea what this is? Any help would be greatly appreciated,” she wrote in a post on Moms Bunnings Australia.

Some were stumped and shared their guesses, including white ants and cockroaches.
