A young woman who has spent $17,000 travelling alone this year has revealed how she often leaves her boyfriend at home to enjoy solo trips.
Skylie Shore, 21, has loved traveling since she was a teenager and now prioritizes it above everything else.
This year he has already been to five countries and taken four solo trips, spending $7,000, but he still has many more trips ahead of him.
In August, Skylie will leave behind her boyfriend, Stephen Pogorilich, 24, for a two-month trip through Europe, Japan and Canada that will cost her another $10,000.
Although the couple still loves traveling together, travel-obsessed Skylie refuses to let their relationship stop her from exploring the world.
Skylie, a corporate event planner from Cranston, Rhode Island, USA, said: ‘I’ve spent $7,000 on venues I’ve been to already this year.

“But in my mind I really love to travel. I work to travel.
‘I’m obsessed with travel. It consumes my life.
‘I would never stop doing that just because I’m in a relationship.
She added that her boyfriend Stephen is very supportive and never stops her.
Skylie fell in love with traveling after going on a “mission trip” to Costa Rica when she was 14 years old.
On these trips, groups often participate in community service activities abroad and are often organized by churches.
Two years later, she traveled to China on a school exchange trip and has since prioritized traveling, even if it means traveling alone.
Skylie visited Italy when she was 18 and this year she spent solo in Switzerland and Ireland and loved it all.
Skylie, who has planned a two-month solo trip for August, is pictured in Iceland, which, along with Switzerland, ranks as her number one destination.

Skylie loves new experiences and even tried paragliding when she visited Switzerland.
She said: ‘I really love trying new things and stepping out of my comfort zone.
“I love learning. You’re learning without even realizing it.
‘My favourite is a tie between Switzerland and Iceland.
“I love greenery and being outdoors with nature.”
When Skylie met Stephen, a security guard, she didn’t have a passport.
He added: “He’s a beginner. He likes to go a few times a year.”
This year the couple has visited the Bahamas, Saint Thomas and Puerto Rico together.
However, when Skylie traveled to Ireland and Switzerland, Stephen stayed home with his dog, a Corgi-Labrador cross named Dobbie.
Skylie and Stephen sometimes travel together and visited Magens Bay Beach in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Photographed in Ireland, Skylie has shared how much she loves being outdoors and in nature when she travels.
She said: “The whole journey is about what I want to do. They’re all good memories. The journey is what you make of it.”
Skylie explained that her boyfriend is looking forward to receiving photos of her travels.
She said: “He wants to make sure I’m safe. He communicates with me and calls me on FaceTime.”
Skylie will embark on a two-month solo voyage at the end of August, visiting Portugal, Spain, France, Moscow, Turkey, the Netherlands, Poland, Japan, Indonesia and Canada.
She said, “I have everything planned.”
Skylie hopes to inspire others to take trips or take time for themselves.
She said: ‘Do it when you’re young – timing is never guaranteed.
“Start small if necessary. Be comfortable with yourself.”
