Bride shares overwhelming disappointment after finding engagement ring

A bride has shared her overwhelming disappointment after finding an “ugly” engagement ring on her boyfriend’s bedside table.

Instead of being excited by the surprise find, when she opened the box, she was disgusted by the three stone diamond ring.

‘Ewwwwww. Friday of shame, here I come,” she wrote in a Facebook group alongside a photo of the ring.

‘I found this on the boyfriend’s nightstand, not on a fan. please roast [the ring] and then tell me how to tactfully say, “No, you have to go find something different.”

Opinion was divided, with some urging the woman to tell her boyfriend and others accusing her of being “entitled.” It’s unclear if she had given her boyfriend any guidance on the style she liked beforehand.

“It’s okay to accept a proposal, but let him know that the ring is not your style,” one woman wrote.

“This is one thing, women will say what they want and men will choose something different,” added another. “She’s so real for this.”

‘Meh, I’m neutral without more information. You should be allowed to like your own ring. “Most of us use it for the rest of our lives,” wrote a third.

Others took a more brutal approach, with many accusing the bride of having a bad attitude and even claiming she was bold to assume the ring was for her.

Spicy opinion of the day: buy your own damn ring or don’t say anything. “Expensive engagement rings as a concept are weird and embarrassing,” one person said.

“I hope it’s for his other girlfriend,” wrote another.

‘Ewww, I’m not a fan of entitled [people]”added a third. “Me looking at my three stone engagement ring on my finger that I am absolutely in love with.”

This is not the first time that marriage-related issues have been in the spotlight lately. Last month, a girlfriend came under fire for “subtly” asking her loved ones for money to buy a house even though she and her fiancé are secretly planning to elope.

The woman sought advice on a popular Facebook group on how to ask for gifts or money even though she won’t be having a traditional wedding.

After “secretly eloping,” the couple planned to send “announcement cards” to friends and family.

The card reads: ‘In light of our new chapter, we want to announce our excitement about purchasing a home!’

Hundreds quickly called the act “in poor taste” and encouraged the bride to avoid including such a selfish line in the card.
