A single woman living in Perth said she feels “lonely” and “disheartened” after noticing a worrying problem in the Western Australian capital.

Opening up on Reddit, the anonymous woman said she is “worried” about ending up alone due to “the lack of single men her age” in Perth.

She is in her thirties and has been single for some time. She is now looking for a relationship and finds it more difficult than ever to meet men.

‘Where the hell are the single men in Perth?!’ she asked.

‘I’m a single woman in my 30s looking for a relationship/me, but what about Perth? Where do all the older singles hang out?

She said she keeps to herself because she’s busy working two jobs, but now she’s starting to feel lonely.

‘I miss the camaraderie and all the sensations! I’m just wondering: where do people go to meet people? the bachelor asked.

‘I’m starting to get discouraged and worry that this is it for me. Am I going to be crazy about cats? Aid!’

Many Perth singles, men and women, said they had also found it difficult to find dates.

‘Hoping to bump into a lovely lady in Woolworths while shopping. We need bracelets or something. Dating when you’re older is hard and scary,” said one man.

‘It’s incredibly difficult these days. People have high standards because of social media and dating apps, and if they’re single for too long in their 30s and 40s, they’re pretty used to having full control of their lives without the relationship drama, even if They feel alone,” another wrote.

“I have 30 million and I’m single but I can’t even find accommodation so I’m not going to try a relationship,” responded a third.

Others submitted suggestions for where to meet singles in Perth.

‘(They’re) at home, watching Netflix with a bowl of ice cream thinking the same thing,’ one user joked.

‘Do any of your friends or coworkers have single male friends? This is usually the best place to start; At least they come pre-reviewed,” a second suggested.

‘The best way to build relationships is the same way you make friends, join community groups for people your age. Sports groups, art classes or whatever your community is involved in, go out and meet new people,” a third responded.

‘I discovered that to meet a guy I had to leave my house and stop by the mailbox on non-working days. “I’m not sure I’m ready for that kind of commitment,” laughed another.

‘Go to Bunnings, look confused and lost and then ask for help. “When we hit on a guy, 60 percent of the time it works,” someone joked.
