A young Brisbane woman has criticized Australian men for having the “emotional range of a rock” – and thousands of people agree with her.

Anisa Nandaula, a 26-year-old comedian, “hit the nail on the head” according to many women when she criticized Australian men for being too “laid back”.

“His emotional spectrum is yes, no,” the comedian said in a video.

‘That’s the extent to which they are able to express their feelings, why don’t we talk about this?’

And many agreed with Anisa’s “hilarious” take on Aussie blokes, saying the comparison gave them “too much credit” and was an “insult to the rocks.”

“I see dating shows in Australia as a form of self-harm,” one said.

“It’s tragic but we’re used to shit but now,” added another.

“It’s too depressing to talk about,” chimed in a third.

She said there were two emotional responses which were “yes” and “no” and most of the women quickly agreed with her.

An Australian woman said that when she went to find a shoulder to cry on after her mother died, her boyfriend simply said, “Oh, well, we all die someday.”

Another said the text message she received from her 30-year-old Australian ex-boyfriend after a friend of his died still haunts her to this day.

“He texted me and said, ‘That’s sad, YOLO,'” he said.

Another added that her emotionally expressionless 40-year-old husband was currently in therapy to learn the difference between yes and no.

The expats agreed that, although they loved the country and the men, they found Australian men to lack emotional intelligence compared to men overseas.

“It’s the worst place in the world to find love,” said one.

An Australian responded and insisted that his countrymen had emotional depth but only shared it with women they could trust.

Another man joked that the spectrum was more nuanced than just yes or no.

“There’s yes, no, yes, yes, no and no,” he joked.

And one woman insisted that women looking to date Australian men just needed to be patient as, in her experience, they got better with age.

“But the wait is long,” he said.
