‘I hope he wasn’t hurt’: Trump, 76, worries about Biden, 80, after he fell on stage – and mocks having to ‘tiptoe’ on THIS ramp at West Point

Donald Trump showed concern for President Joe Biden and even made a joke of himself when he learned he had fallen again while on stage at the Air Force Academy.

“He really fell? ‘Well, I hope he wasn’t hurt,’ the former president said when told of the 80-year-old’s fall while campaigning in Iowa.

Biden being helped to his feet after his trip will raise further concerns about his age and health in his second run for president.

‘This is all crazy. You must pay attention to this. Even if you have to tiptoe down a ramp,” Trump added.

Trump was referring to when he left the stage at the West Point military academy three years ago and appeared to move cautiously up the ramp.

The commander-in-chief tripped and fell to his knees, then had to be helped to his feet during the graduation ceremony in an incident likely to raise further concerns about his age as the president most country's oldest seeks a second term.

During the June 2020 speech, Trump used both hands to sip a glass of water and took what seemed like “baby steps” as he walked away.

“The ramp I came down after my West Point kickoff speech was very long and steep, had no handrails and most importantly was very slippery,” Trump said in a tweet afterwards.

It has raised questions and concerns about his health, similar to Biden’s during his latest incident.

He was helped by Air Force officials when he fell to the ground. It was the latest of several incidents where the president briefly lost his balance, although in this case it caused him to fall.

After the fall, the president then walked away unaided and appeared to point to a sandbag on the stage which he appeared to be tripping over. The White House pointed to a black sandbag that could be seen near the podium where Biden delivered the keynote address.

“He’s fine,” White House communications director Ben LaBolt tweeted shortly after the incident. “There was a sandbag on stage as he shook hands.”

The stumble comes just weeks after Biden stumbled while visiting Itsukushima Shrine in Hiroshima, Japan.

During this event, there was a railing available on some stairs for the President to descend. He ignored the railing and stumbled, regaining his balance as he descended. Biden also tripped while boarding Air Force One in March during a trip to Selma, Alabama.

Biden fell down the stairs while boarding Air Force One in 2021 and toppled over his bike near his Delaware beach home last June. He was not injured in any of the incidents.

A pool reporter traveling with the president in Colorado said Biden was “coming back to his seat when he fell.” He appears to have tripped over a black sandbag on the stage.

“When he fell, the black sandbag pointed suggesting that’s what he tripped over,” according to the report.
