‘I have no comment at all’: Biden arrests reporters for asking questions about Trump’s indictment – after White House insists he learned of the charges from TV and refused to respond to Burisma’s bribe demands

  • President Joe Biden answered questions on Friday about the federal indictment of former President Donald Trump
  • Biden was visiting a robotics lab at a North Carolina community college when he made his first remark on the landmark indictment
  • “I have no comment at all,” Biden said, as reporters were rushed out of the room.

President Joe Biden gave ‘no comment’ when he was peppered with questions about former President Donald Trump’s federal indictment while touring a community college in North Carolina on Friday.

Biden was touring the robotics lab at Nash Community College when he made his first remark on the landmark indictment that Trump himself revealed Thursday night.

“I have no comment at all,” Biden said, as reporters were rushed from the room. He had ignored several shouted questions earlier in the day.

Earlier, his assistant press secretary Olivia Dalton also made an assortment of no-comments aboard Air Force One en route to its two stops in North Carolina.

She also revealed that Biden learned about the news from Trump like every other American — by watching the news.

She was asked by DailyMail.com if she could comment on Republicans’ concerns about Trump’s indictment released the same day House Republicans had access to an FBI document in which a source alleged that an executive of Burisma had said Biden and his son Hunter were paid $5 million each. to drop an investigation.

“Again, we’re not going to comment on that,” she said. “I’ll tell you, though, that — and confirm, as we said overnight, that the president, senior staff found out like everyone else last night.”

‘No prior knowledge this was going to happen. Discovered by news reports, like everyone else across America,” she added.

As soon as Dalton appeared on the plane to chat with reporters, she was asked about the indictment news.

“We’re just not going to comment on this case and will refer you to the DOJ, which conducts its criminal investigations independently,” she said.

She also wouldn’t comment on GOP concerns that the Justice Department has become politicized under Biden.

“Listen, he’s a president who respects the rule of law and has been saying that since day one,” she noted. “That is precisely why we do not comment here. He believes in respecting the independence of the DOJ and protecting the integrity of its processes. And that’s, again, why we’re leaving it at that.

Dalton also wouldn’t comment on whether the president was comfortable with raising funds for Democrats from the Trump news.

“I’m just not going to comment on this,” she said, with DailyMail.com referring to a Hillary Clinton tweet sent earlier in the day.

The former Democratic candidate was raising money by selling hats that read “But her emails”, a reference to her own scandal involving classified documents, in which the FBI did not charge her.
