A young woman revealed a conflict she has with surf shops: the cut of her bikini bottoms

An Australian woman criticized a “creepy” look at surf shops in Australia – and hundreds have the same problem.

The young woman, from Victoria, mentioned the constant problem she has with surf shops: the cut of her bikini bottoms.

“I was in Queensland recently and it drives me crazy how surf shops only surprise highly anticipated asses,” she said on Reddit.

‘I’ve looked in Melbourne and some regional places. I spent time in Maroochydore and Brisbane. I used to only buy surf trunks because they were cheap, good quality and pretty.’

The woman shared an image of tied bikini bottoms from Surf Dive n Ski as a reference point for the style she can’t escape.

She’s dismayed by the lengths she feels she has to go to to find suitable pants that offer more coverage.

‘I understand there is a demand for high rises now, but why is it so difficult to find regular pants in stores? I’ve even looked on Myer,” she said.

‘The only place I could find them was cheap stores like Kmart, or (expensive stores) like Seafolly. He even tried discount stores in Chadstone and Fountain Gate, without success.

“It’s driving me crazy,” she confessed. ‘Even Cotton On has jumped on the bandwagon. It’s scary how hard it is to find normal bathers.’

While Surf Dive n Ski has stringy and high-waisted tie options, there are also other styles online that offer more coverage.

A woman is surprised to see how far she has to go to find suitable pants that offer more coverage.

While Surf Dive n Ski has high-waisted and lace-up tie-down options, there are also other styles online that offer more coverage.

Some suggested different options while shopping.

“Maybe ‘full coverage’ is the search term you’re looking for if you want standard bikini bottoms that don’t have a daring cut, or you could try boy shorts.” one offered.

‘You don’t have to wear this style so high, you can wear them like hipsters. But City Beach also has tons of all styles year-round. And I think it’s cheaper than Seafolly, from memory,” recommended another.

‘I live in mommy’s world so I don’t even see swimmers like that!’ We all shop at Funkita, Speedo and Swimsuits Galore,” said one mother,

“I love Unepiece, Alulu and Infamous Swim, all online,” wrote another shopper.

Others sympathized with the woman.

‘Accept! I want something a little more modest for myself, but I write ‘modest’ and I get the other end of the spectrum,” said one. ‘Why can’t there be a middle ground?’

Another asked: “Why can’t surf shops sell swimsuits that appeal to a wider range of personal tastes?”
