A woman recalled how she gave birth secretly in her bedroom and didn’t tell anyone for four days when she was just 16 years old.
Miranda Ponthieux, 40, from West Monroe, Louisiana, revealed that she became pregnant at age 15 and admitted that she was constantly sneaking out to see her crush.
Despite noticing the symptoms of pregnancy, Miranda pushed that thought out of her mind since her belly was still flat.
However, soon Miranda could no longer ignore the signs and began to experience unbearable stomach pains.
One day she decided to stay home from school and ended up giving birth to an adorable baby girl in her room.
A woman remembers how she gave birth secretly in her bedroom and didn’t tell anyone for four days when she was just 16 years old.
She explained: ‘When I was 15, I was sneaking out all the time with this boy I’d been friends with since kindergarten.
“We lived very close to each other and obviously we were doing things that led to me getting pregnant.”
However, Miranda had no idea she was pregnant because she was still very thin.
But she was experiencing many symptoms.
The woman who is now 40 years old: “I wasn’t feeling well, I still had stomach cramps, I told my mom and she said, “Oh, you’re probably going to get your period.”
‘I didn’t grow, I was very thin, super, super thin. I stayed like that, but there were signs that I was pregnant, but I didn’t grow, so I thought, ‘Well, I can’t be.’
Refusing to believe that being pregnant could be a reality, Miranda did not tell her mother her suspicions for fear of going over the edge with anger.
Miranda recalled how she initially had severe stomach cramps while asking her mother for advice.

After confronting her mother about her pains, she advised Miranda to rest in bed, and later that night, Miranda told her that it was “clear” that her pains were a sign of something else.
The next day she didn’t go to school and ended up giving birth in her room.
Miranda recalled: ‘I had a baby in my room and I didn’t know what to do. I was like going crazy big time. I had this baby in my room and I had no idea what to do with him.
Not knowing what to do, Miranda safely placed her newborn under a car shelter, before a family friend visited the house where she then pretended to be surprised that the baby had turned up there.
Reflecting on her secret teenage pregnancy, Miranda explained: “Not a single person in the world knew about it for four days.
‘She was a little girl and I kept watching her. She was in a closed basket full of clothes and I made sure she was okay; I wrapped her in a blanket, but I didn’t know what to do.’
Despite noticing the symptoms of pregnancy, Miranda pushed that thought out of her mind since her belly was still flat.
However, soon Miranda could no longer ignore the signs and began to experience unbearable stomach pains.
Miranda made it through and claimed that “no one had any questions about it.”
However, the lies and secrets eventually proved too much for Miranda, as guilt forced her to write a note to her mother, which she left in her car.
To her surprise, her mother and the rest of her family welcomed her with love, as everyone immediately wanted to take care of her.
For the four days, her daughter remained in state custody, where she was cared for and fed while Miranda contemplated how to break the shocking news to her loved ones.
