A wife plans to divorce her husband after discovering that he slept with her maid of honor and her best friend of 20 years at their dollar party.
Steph has been married for 18 months and was enjoying a girls’ night out with her closest friends when the evening took an unexpected turn.
While discussing the intimate “body count” after a few drinks, Steph’s best friend Maddie accidentally revealed that her number was higher than before, even though she has been with her partner Jack for three years.
Later that night, Steph confronted Maddie about the mishap and she burst into tears saying “it was a mistake” before confessing that she slept with Steph’s husband Tom.
Feeling heartbroken, Steph sought advice from the Australian podcast. ‘Everyone has a secret’ and the hosts deliberated.
Steph has been married for 18 months and discovered that her 20-year-old best friend slept with her husband on her money night. Seeking advice on the ‘Everyone Has a Secret’ podcast, the heartbroken wife asked how she should tell her husband that she is divorcing him.
“Last week, my best friend admitted to me that she had sex with my husband at her party,” the host said.
‘As you can imagine, I am devastated. My husband Tom and I have been married for 18 months and I had no idea there was any problem in our relationship, let alone that he was capable of committing this level of cheating.’
Steph set the stage for a dinner party with friends and learned that Maddie’s body count hadn’t changed since she’d been with her partner for a considerable amount of time.
‘When it was your turn [to reveal her body count]”He said 19 instead of 18,” the story continued.
‘As soon as she said that, I corrected her. She, drunk, said “no, mine is 19.” She clearly realized at that moment that she had made a mistake, because she tried to back away pathetically but she was too drunk to do so convincingly.
‘At the time I thought she had probably exposed herself by cheating on her partner Jack and was embarrassed.
“A little while later I took her aside and told her I wouldn’t judge her if she cheated on Jack… she started crying and it didn’t make any sense, she kept saying it was a mistake and I was so confused.”

Then Maddie finally told the truth about what she had done and Steph slapped her before leaving.
Maddie doesn’t explain why or how she ended up at the Bucks show. Steph claimed that she remembers asking Maddie out that night because “she was feeling anxious.”
‘She evidently lied when she told me she was busy and had to work that night. “I would cry for more details, but to be honest, I can’t stand talking to her again,” Steph wrote.
“Maddie has been blowing up my phone asking for forgiveness and most of all not to tell her partner Jack what she did.”
Since then, Steph has not responded and does not plan to since the friendship ended.
Now Steph plans to break the lease with Tom and will temporarily move in with a friend.
Feeling devastated and confused, Steph is unsure how to handle the devastating situation.
“I haven’t told Tom that I know this all happened while he was on an international work trip, I’m sure I won’t do it over the phone,” she added.
‘I’ll leave it. I already called our real estate agent to cancel our lease.
But she doesn’t want Tom to get his way and asks him how she should tell her husband that she is divorcing him.

Podcast hosts Annabelle Lee and Louis Hanson were almost too shocked to speak after hearing the intense story.
‘It is disgusting and horrible… the situation absolutely needs to be abandoned. “This is bullshit,” Louis said.
Annabelle said she can’t believe Maddie has “the audacity” to ask Steph not to tell her partner Jack what she did.
They both agreed that the friendship is over and there is “There’s no going back from this.”
After sharing a video on TikTok, hundreds more people joined the conversation about what they would do next.
‘I would tell your partner immediately! He deserves to know the truth,’ commented one.
“Never, ever forgive,” wrote another, and a third added: “Invite his parents over and do a slideshow of how amazing your life was and what he ruined.”
“Just leave it, the divorce papers on the counter with a PO box or the attorney’s address,” someone else said.
