A mother of four revealed that she gives her children dinner at 3:30 p.m.

Content creator Aims LC has shared with her more than 688,900 TikTok followers that she starts preparing dinner at 3 pm at home.

She explained in the video that her three youngest children, “always wake up from their naps hungry, so why not feed them as much nutrition now and then eat something later?”

As for her fourth child, who was coming home from school, Aims added: “She also comes home hungry, so it’s the best time to feed her the most nutrients as well.”

After finishing feeding her kids in the video, she proceeded to have dinner with her husband at 4 p.m. and shared, “And then that frees up the rest of the night.[They can]play. I can work out. There’s no pressure. Then later on, we have a toast before bed.”

Other parents decided to try the suggested routine and also had successful results.

One mom, known on TikTok as “The Runaway Bride Experiment,” candidly shared her experience at the previous dinner party.

She said: ‘When I first saw that video, I thought, “It’s so early, why would you do that?”

“So I tried it and, oh my God, let me tell you: it’s amazing!”

‘My husband gets home from work around the same time my kids get home from school, so we eat dinner together as a family and everyone eats when they’re hungry, and if they need a pick-me-up afterwards, they can eat leftovers or fruit or whatever.’

She concluded her experiment by saying, “But my goodness, this is life-changing advice. I would recommend it 10/10.”

Paige Boyuk, a mother of two, also enjoyed the positive results of the routine, however, she found a happy personal middle ground: eating dinner at 4:30 p.m.

Paige shared with TODAY:’I got tired of giving my children a snack and then they didn’t eat dinner.

‘One day I said: ‘That’s it. We’ll eat spaghetti at 4:30 and have a great evening: there will be no crisis and they’ll have full bellies.’

The mother shared that her usual food choices include chicken and rice, pork tenderloin or pasta.

As for snacks, Paige opts for apple slices and cheese.

Mercedes Barnes, a mother of four, serves dinner at 3:45 p.m. and told TODAY: ‘The (older) girls would get off the school bus hungry and grab snacks from the pantry, but then not eat their dinner.

“I started serving dinner at 3pm and they devoured it.”

She added that her children no longer run “like crazy” or have blood sugar crashes like they used to after school.

Mercedes added: “I see a substantial difference in their behaviour. They argue less and fall asleep more easily. It’s a life-changing experience.”

Their favorite snacks are fruits, vegetables, or an after-dinner granola bar.

She also explained that she will reheat leftovers from dinner if her kids are still hungry later.

When it comes to the health benefits of eating an early dinner, Sarah Williams, a registered dietitian in Texas, revealed that the small change makes a big difference.

While most parents liked the idea, some did not. One person wrote: “I can’t imagine bathing my baby before breastfeeding. It’s so messy.”

Sarah explained: ‘I love the idea that parents are leaning towards feeding their children when they are hungry, rather than the idea that dinner has to be at a specific time.

‘In general, meal times should coincide with our daily lives, (especially) if children play sports during dinner hours.’

She added that eating food earlier makes it digested more efficiently, which helps children get quality sleep.

The dietitian recommended eating healthy fats like peanut butter and fruit as bedtime snacks.

Although most parents liked the idea, some did not accept it.

One person wrote: “I can’t imagine taking a shower before breastfeeding. Mine is so dirty.”

A second person commented: “This works great until sports, dance and school events start happening.”

A third person added: “It’s hard if you work full time and finish at 5pm, but it’s a great idea.”

Another person wrote: “I love this idea but I work and don’t get home until 5 and I usually rush to watch a sport.”
