A 26-year-old woman has been defended by netizens after she told her sister she was dating her ‘sloppy ex’ who she broke up with for cheating on her.
The unnamed woman took to Reddit to reveal her 24-year-old sister had started dating her ex-boyfriend, prompting him to slam the 24-year-old for ‘setting up’ with her unfaithful former lover.
She revealed she had broken up with her ex – who she called James – over having an affair, and her younger brother had struck up a relationship with the man who betrayed her.
She slammed her sister for dating her “sloppy seconds” and now questioned whether she was wrong in a thread titled “am i the asshole‘, for calling out to his sister.

The beginning of the message read: “I (26F) was dating “James” (M26) for most of my studies and we planned to get engaged after graduation.
“Two months before he graduated, I caught him planning a cheat. Nothing physical seemed to have happened yet, but he and another girl were planning a weekend and he told me he was going to pay a quick visit to the house. Cheating is an instant break to me, so it was over. ‘
The older sister noted that instead of arguing with her then-boyfriend, she simply texted him goodbye and blocked him on everything, causing him to lose his “shit.”
She revealed that James spent months trying to contact her but eventually gave up.
A year later, she met James in a strange situation.
“About a year later, my sister (24F) announces that she wants to bring her boyfriend home to meet the family. We didn’t know she had a boyfriend, but my parents threw a barbecue and told her to bring him. It was James,” she added.
