Another suggested: ‘That’s part of the rotating oven belt. How that ended up inside the pizza is mind-blowing to me. I would definitely complain and take it to head office if necessary.’
A third agreed: “I worked at Pizza Hut for years…and you’re absolutely right…maybe they took the belt off to clean it and didn’t put the retaining bands back on.”
Concerned by the finding, another commenter wondered: “Yes, but how does this happen? They definitely didn’t do their job right.”

Responding to a user who commented “That’s crazy,” Amber wrote: “Isn’t that right? They didn’t even offer a refund, just a new pizza. How is that okay in the slightest?
In another response, Amber implied that she had been in contact with the restaurant. She wrote: ‘According to the manager they apparently don’t have metal in their kitchen?! hard to believe
One concerned commenter responded by writing: ‘Keep the metal and contact your local food safety organization. Long story short, the restaurant will have to undergo an inspection, I got a rusty screw and got a full refund and voucher. Considering that this is a chain, you may also be entitled to compensation.’
Another wondered: ‘How come this wasn’t found on the pizza before it was given to you?’
