A professional cleaner has shared the budget Bunnings buys she recommends to leave her clients’ homes spotless.
Hailey McNicol, from The right cleaning group In the Macarthur region of Sydney, Bunnings offers a one-stop shop for all your cleaning products.
The expert’s cart is filled with best-selling essentials and her top picks from each range, including sprays, scrapers, toilet bowl cleaners and cloths.
“Come to Bunnings with me as a cleaning business owner, I’ll show you the products and equipment I use in my clients’ homes,” Hailey said.
Ms McNicol recommends starting with a Bunnings trolley for $7.99, which while not “necessary”, she said this “amazing” carrier makes it easier to transport cleaning kit from room to room.
Its star product is Fairy Original liquid dishwashing liquid ($5.50).
“We use this for everything… wherever there is any kind of build-up, Fairy washing-up liquid will remove it,” she said.
Trust me, this product is very versatile and cost effective.

Hailey McNicol said Fairy washing up liquid and Harpic White and Shine were two of the best products in her range for achieving a sparkling clean.
According to the expert, nothing beats Long Life Grout Cleaner – use it with a brush to remove unsightly discoloration from old grout.
Selleys Oven Cleaner ($7.19) is Hailey’s top pick for dirty ovens: “I’ve tried every oven cleaner on the market and Selleys has to be the best by far,” the expert said.
Although some people complained about the strong fumes from the oven spray, the cleaner insisted that nothing “cuts” grease like Selleys.
Hailey said a Hallmark scraper ($10.99) is a “must-have” in every cart; she uses this handy tool on ovens, floors and stoves, or any surface where there’s “built-up” dirt.
Other go-to products include Bar Keepers Friend ($9.98) for anything stainless steel, Harpic Toilet Cleaner White and Shine 10x Actions ($3.49) for toilet bowls, and Selleys Rapid Mould Killer ($8.69) for mould on any surface.
To add a shine to her grout, Ms. McNicol can’t live without the “amazing” Long Life Grout Cleaner and a trusty grout scrubbing brush.
A handy cleaning cart is a non-essential item but is “fantastic” for carrying your cleaning supplies from room to room.
The NSW cleaner buys cloths in bulk and uses them just once before disposing of them.
For Australians struggling to remove build-up from the bottom of the toilet, Hailey said Scalex Heavy Duty Household Descaler ($12.99) is perfect for the job.
To clean and refresh floors, professionals love Diggers All-Purpose Surface Cleaner ($8.99) with a hint of lavender and a heavy-duty yellow Sabco bucket and mop, which “last forever.”
One fan agreed that while Sabco products are more expensive, they are hard to beat when it comes to quality.
Hailey completes her kit with a large roll of Chux-style cleaning cloth to use once and then throw away, and empty plastic spray bottles to hold solutions.
