A man was surprised during his Ryanair flight after purchasing one of the budget airline’s new cocktails and being given the ingredients to make it himself.
Marty Guilfoyle, from Dublin, said he was “extra” excited to try the new range of spirits on a family holiday.
He opted for a cocktail called ‘Dublin lemonade’ which consisted of Jameson Irish whiskey, Sprite and sparkling water.
The DJ spent £8 (€9.50) on the drink and expected the cabin crew to make it for him or at least come pre-mixed in a can.

Instead, Marty was handed two bottles of sparkling water, two small bottles of whiskey, a plastic cup with a single ice cube, and a can of Sprite (pictured).
But what he received was very different.

The clip then showed his friend adding the liquor to the cup before pouring in the Sprite and sparkling water. It didn’t seem like they were given a stirrer or anything to mix the drink.
Speaking in the clip, Marty said: “When I saw the news that Ryanair was now serving cocktails on board, I got even more excited for a family trip this week.”
‘There are the ingredients, go and make it yourself.
“I thought they might be pre-made from a can, but I definitely didn’t think you’d have to make it yourself.”
He captioned the video, which was posted on Instagram: “Come with me to make a cocktail on board a Ryanair flight.”
“This is the first time I’ve heard of Dublin lemonade and (to be honest), it’s (delicious).”

Users commented on the clip and said they weren’t surprised that he had to make the cocktail himself.
However, fellow travelers didn’t seem surprised in the least, and people commented that it was what they expected from the airline.
One wrote: “We really should have known,” while another chimed in: “No wonder.”
Another wrote: ‘They’re shit.’ I have a Caribbean one. Everyone excited. They arrived with a Fanta and vodka.
A third said: “Cocktail making experience is what I was supposed to say hahahahaha.”
A fourth commented: “No, this is so iconic and of course we couldn’t expect anything less.”
