First, he says that anyone who walks around with a “giant Stanley Cup” is definitely an American.

The avid traveler, who has lived in Florence since January, said there are four telltale signs that give away American citizens.
“Italians don’t carry water bottles anywhere,” he informs viewers.
And, right in line during filming, he notices three girls passing by carrying bottles of water and immediately marks them as Americans.
He then addresses coffee etiquette, saying that Italians generally never accept a coffee or pastry to go.
She explains: ‘(If) you drink your coffee in a to-go cup, you’re either American or, honestly, you’re a pastry chef.
“If you walk around with a pastry or a coffee, you’re probably American.”
Third on Rachael’s list is walking style and rhythm.
The avid traveler reflects: ‘There is a certain speed at which Italians walk and Americans triple it every time.
“Americans walk much faster and with much more urgency than any Italian I have ever seen.”
First, he says that anyone who walks around with a “giant Stanley mug” is undoubtedly American before adding that walking around with a coffee or a pastry is another clue.
Finally, Rachel, who has lived in Florence since January, focuses on ‘American lean’.
Explaining the concept, he says: ‘Americans lean on things because we’re just lazy.
‘I guess Italians don’t lean on things… they just don’t do it. They stand tall.
He ended the light-hearted TikTok clip by encouraging viewers to leave their own observations in the comments section.
One commentator wrote: ‘When I lived in England, someone handed me a leaflet on the street and I just smiled at them.
‘She said “oh, you’re American” and I said “how did you know?” And she said “your teeth.”
