A young couple who sensationally claimed they are “too selfish to have kids” have shocked fans by revealing the great strides they’ve taken to prevent “accidents.”
Indianna Knight, 25, and her husband Heraldo, 34, from Sydney, went to see doctors to be sterilized.
The Indianna doctor “absolutely refused” to consider a permanent option, so her partner underwent surgery.
“My husband insisted that he get a vasectomy,” she said.

Indianna Knight, 25, and her husband Heraldo, 34, of Sydney do not want children
“He’s like, ‘You’ve done your part, you’ve been on birth control, it’s my time.'”
The young couple say they are glad to be there for their friends’ children and are confident in their choice to remain child-free forever.
They added that they are excited to live in their ‘dual income with no children’ era for the rest of their lives.
The announcement was made in a video showing the couple dancing together at their home.
It has been viewed by more than 2.7 million people on the platform, but opinions are divided.
“Great to see this…after so much pressure from family and friends of ‘When are you going to have kids?’…what if we don’t want kids?” said one woman.
“I love my kids, but my DINK days were awesome.”
“Society pushes you to think that you have not made it in life without children and without marriage, we are 45 years old, without children, double income = no worries… life is good,” added a third.
Others suggested that the couple would regret their decisions.
‘It was the same until I was 38. Enjoy!… I must say though, I love being a dad,’ said one man.

The young couple say they are glad to be there for their friends’ children and are confident in their choice to remain child-free forever.
‘I live with hypothetical questions every day and now it’s too late to go back and have them,’ said one woman.
‘We’ve been DINK for about 6 years, but I’m looking forward to having a child. It’s fun, but there comes a point where you feel like you’re missing something,” added another man.
One woman warned that the operation is not foolproof.
“I am currently pregnant with a vasectomy baby,” she said.
Some men asked why Indianna didn’t go under the knife, even though she explained that she wanted to and was turned down.
‘What happened to equality? The woman must get the snip. Not being forced to do something we’ve done for decades. Let your balls grow, man’, a man became furious.
Others said they “just had a kid” because it still feels like they’re living the childless life on a double income.
‘One is the magic number: we keep doing everything we did before.’
Before Heraldo “got the snip,” Indianna made waves by revealing her decision to never be a mother.
She said her husband is on the same page, and he ‘did his fair share’ by being the oldest of four siblings and helping raise his siblings and revealed all the reasons they decided not to have a baby.

A young couple have revealed all the reasons they refuse to have children, from financial worries to achieving other goals in life.
1. Children are expensive
“We are not against parents, I fully believe that you can have a full and rich life with children,” said Indianna.
“I look at my friends with kids and I think they’re doing an amazing job, but it’s hard enough to afford a normal life, how can you afford kids too?”
The Australian Institute of Family Studies revealed that raising two children on a middle-class income can cost as much as $960 a week.
2. Personality clashes
“I’ve never been a childish person,” said the makeup artist. ‘I’m that weird person who doesn’t know what to do with them.’
“I really fear that people will give me their children, I have never wanted them,” he added.
Indianna also revealed that her husband is the oldest of four children and spent his childhood and early adulthood taking care of his siblings.
“He’s served his time, he doesn’t want to do it again,” he said.
3. She has a business and is very ambitious
“You can be ambitious and have children, but my business is my baby,” he said. “It takes a lot of time, energy and stress.”
Indianna said she “couldn’t” put the same amount of effort into her business and raising a child.
4. Selfish reasons
Indianna has openly admitted to being “selfish” about the way she spends her time.
“I’m happy to admit that, and I’d rather say I’m selfish and choose not to have kids because of it, than have them and still be selfish.”
She added: “I want to nap and go out to dinner whenever I want and not have to worry about arranging a babysitter.”
“My husband and I are on the same page, and I will openly admit that we are putting ourselves first.”
5. Children are noisy
The Sydney woman doesn’t want to deal with having ‘extra noise’ in her house.
“I’m such an introverted homebody and I love sitting at home in the quiet,” she revealed.
Indianna also said that it was a very personal choice and that she did not judge other people for their family planning.
“There’s no reason to get frustrated or upset because you don’t agree, my philosophy is to let people live their lives.”

ndianna Knight, from Sydney, is content to be a ‘dog dad’ and ‘cool aunt’ for the rest of her life, and she’s sick of other people telling her she’s going to ‘change her mind’
Many agreed with Indiana’s views.
‘Same! It’s hard because a lot of people think you’re in a phase or they’ll try to change your mind, when it’s okay not to like them!’ wrote a woman.
‘Honestly, how do people manage to have children?’ asked another.
“I have too much trauma and I don’t want to shock the children with it,” said one woman. ‘And I love to sleep!’
While others couldn’t see his point of view.
“I will never understand the point of getting married unless you are going to have children,” wrote one man.
“It’s different with your own children,” wrote one mother. You won’t understand.
