Her ex-boyfriend Charles Mwalimu, who started dating Lyric when they were studying at Stanford University until 2017, claimed McHenry had a coke addiction.

& # 39; Especially if you have money and go out all the time with people who do, some people keep that drug closer than others, & # 39; he said to the times. & # 39; After a while it became something informal. & # 39;

"Over time, it was sort of reaching a place where her addiction really started to solidify and escalate," he added.

Mwalimu claims that her drug use had risen to the point that he encouraged her to seek advice in the summer of 2017, but that she opposed any help.

Despite the breakup, he says they remained friends.
