A Florida man killed both his mother and his dog before burning the family's house on Wednesday morning, police said.

Police say Colby Glen Larue, 22, from Ocklawah, walked to the Marion County Sheriff office district in Ocala National Forest and confessed to the murders.

Firefighters were already busy with the fire in the rural house. After three hours, they found Angela Limbaugh's body inside, according to WFTV.

Delegates say Larue told them that he watched YouTube videos on Tuesday night when suddenly he became paranoid, someone would rape his mother or hurt him.

Larue told the detectives that he had picked up a gun, but it didn't work, so he grabbed a gun and started walking down the ground floor of the house, according to a sworn sworn statement obtained by WFTV.

His mother, Angela, woke up and walked downstairs, where her son shot her and the bulldog twice, the sworn statement said.

His mother was shot in the head twice. According to the affidavit, Larue said he did it to protect his mother against whom he thought she would come for her.

He then set fire to a mattress, causing the family to burn.

Larue then used a rowing boat to cross the lake and walked to the house of his neighbor, Christina West.

West had heard four gunshots and was outside with her two sons when Larue approached their house.

& # 39; We asked him who he was, what was he doing, why was he on our property & # 39 ;, West told Click Orlando.

& # 39; He said his name was Colby and he was trying to find out what had gone wrong in his life … He had no emotion at all when we talked to him. None. & # 39;

The sons of West drove Larue away from the estate. He then traveled to the sheriff & # 39; s district office where delegates said he confessed to his alleged crimes.

Investigators said that Larue had no criminal record and did not look drunk or high on drugs after the incident, but investigations are still ongoing.

There is no indication as to which YouTube videos & # 39; s he had viewed.

Larue has been accused of murder and first-line arson of a home and is being held without bail in Marion County prison.
