Lunden Roberts, the woman who had a child out of wedlock with Hunter Biden, will publish a tell-all book about their relationship in the midst of this summer’s Democratic National Convention.
On Tuesday, Skyhorse Publishing announced Out of the Shadows: My Life Inside the Wild World of Hunter Bidenwhich will be released on August 20.
The book depicts a ‘rollercoaster of a relationship’ between Hunter and Roberts, who gave birth to five-year-old Navy Joan in August 2018.
“He was sitting there wearing nothing but parrot boxers, organizing his flutes on his Rosemont Seneca desk,” Roberts wrote, in a short shared excerpt. “He was sitting in Barack Obama’s actual chair from the Senate floor.”
“I took another look at Hunter, this kind, intense, surprisingly transparent man, and I thought, ‘This is definitely a guy I want to get to know better,'” Roberts recalled.

The publisher announced that Roberts’ book will address “the drug-addicted cook who works in the kitchen of Rosemont Seneca” and “strip clubs where Hunter might try to reach the pole himself.”
Roberts was reportedly working at the Mpire strip club in Washington, D.C. during her brief fling with the current first child.
He teases that Roberts protected Hunter “from potential terrorists in New York City” and describes an altercation between the baby mama and a “crazed MMA fighter” involving two weapons.
The book will reveal “dozens of other stories that make the laptop debacle seem routine.”
The relationship between Hunter and Roberts occurred in late 2017 amid a particularly tumultuous life in the younger Biden’s life, as he became addicted to crack cocaine after the death of his brother Beau in 2015.
He had also been dating Beau Biden’s widow, Hallie.
In his own memoirs, Beautiful thingsHunter admits that, besides Hallie, the “other women I had been with during the riots since my divorce were not the type to date.”
Hunter Biden, seen addressing a court appearance in Wilminton, Delaware, last week, wrote in his 2021 memoir that he did not remember his date with Lunden Roberts, which resulted in his five-year-old daughter, Navy Joan.

He wrote: ‘We would satisfy our immediate needs and little else. I’m not proud of it.
“That’s why I would later challenge in court the Arkansas woman who had a baby in 2018 and claimed the child was mine; she didn’t remember our meeting,” the first son admitted. ‘That’s how little connection she had with anyone. It was a disaster, but a disaster for which I have taken responsibility.
With paternity established, President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden publicly acknowledged their seventh grandchild in July 2023.
“Our son Hunter and Navy’s mother, Lunden, are working together to foster a relationship that is best for their daughter, preserving her privacy as much as possible in the future,” the Bidens said in a statement to People magazine.
“This is not a political issue, it is a family issue,” the statement continued. “Jill and I only want the best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy.”
During Tuesday’s White House briefing, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about Roberts’ upcoming book and whether the president had met with Navy Joan.
“I have nothing to share,” Jean-Pierre told reporters.
