Hunter Biden’s new autobiography, Beautiful Things, had disappointing sales on the shelves in its first week, with just over 10,000 copies despite a massive promotion.
The new 272-page book about Hunter’s struggles with addiction and tragedy debuted at # 12 on the Publisher’s Weekly hardcover non-fiction card, after selling a meager 10,638 copies.
It was shifted slightly in the rankings by ‘The Calcium Connection: The Little-Known Enzyme at the Root of Your Cellular Health’. At the top of the list was The Hill We Climb: An Inaugural Poem for the Country by poet Amanda Gorman, which sold 42,000 copies for a week.
Sales for Beautiful Things were considered disappointing in light of Hunter’s international PR blitz that saw him appear on the BBC, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! And two separate interviews with CBS News.

The autobiography exposes the demons that nearly destroyed Hunter and derailed his father’s presidential campaign, including the death of his brother Beau and his struggle with crack addiction.
Hunter’s new memoir, Beautiful Things, came out April 6
He also talks about his affair with former stripper Lunden Roberts, whom he impregnated in 2018 while dating his brother Hallie’s widow.
Leading up to his father’s election, 51-year-old Hunter, who has five children by three different women, had become the focus of Republican attacks on his lucrative work at Ukrainian energy company Burisma.
In the book, Hunter writes, “ In the past five years alone, my two-decade marriage has dissolved, guns have been stabbed in my face, and at one point I fell off the grid, living on $ 59 a night. Super 8 motels off I-95 while scaring my family even more than me ‘.
The tragedy that drove Hunter into Hallie’s arms was Beau’s death at just 46 years old.
Hunter speaks poignantly of his love for his brother, a former Delaware attorney general whom he believed would one day become president.
But then doctors diagnosed him with glioblastoma multiforme, an aggressive brain cancer after he started having auditory hallucinations.

In 2013, while on a family vacation in Michigan, he witnessed Beau having a “terrifying” attack that looked “like something out of The Exorcist.”
Hunter writes: “The violence that erupted in his body was expressed in convulsions and contractions; you could almost literally see the storm raging in his head ‘.
Beau was given a one percent survival rate, but decided to undergo radiation therapy anyway, even though he was so weak he couldn’t use the bathroom on his own.
Hunter writes, “If I had to do it again, I would never have agreed to let Beau go through … the radiation.
“Considering the odds of it getting through and the pain and the shortages it caused, it was almost barbaric.”
Beau lost his battle with cancer on May 30, 2015, less than two years after he was diagnosed.
Hunter writes that “after Beau died, I never felt alone again. I lost hope ‘.
He began a “deep descent” into alcoholism that Hunter describes in overwhelming detail, explaining how his life split between periods of sobriety and extreme substance abuse.
During a failed recovery, he let a homeless crack addict from whom he bought drugs move into his Washington apartment.
“The relationship was symbiotic,” he writes. “They were two crack addicts who couldn’t find their way out of a paper bag. A one-act play of a crack. ‘
Hunter Biden released his tell-all memoir Beautiful Things on April 6, but left out shocking details. DailyMail.com revealed those secrets after the contents of its abandoned laptop – including a cache of 103,000 text messages, 154,000 emails, more than 2,000 photos – were verified by top forensic experts.
Hunter recalls a time when a gun was pointed at his face during his search for drugs.
I kept walking, stepping around people rolled up on thin pieces of cardboard. Beyond them I saw a tilting, unlit tent. It was pitch black. All I saw was the gun pointed at my face, ‘he writes.
However, DailyMail.com revealed the secrets Hunter chose not to reveal in his book, which was uncovered in the contents of his abandoned laptop and verified by leading forensic experts.
The bombshell cache of 103,000 text messages, 154,000 emails, more than 2,000 photos, and dozens of videos was full of revelations that were easily missing from the memoir.
The revelations include how he begged his father to run for president in 2019 to save Hunter’s own reputation, and Joe Biden’s fear of being hacked as they discussed his presidential run.
The hoard also included explicit photos and videos of Hunter’s escapades, often with two prostitutes at the same time.
