Hunter Biden hired a lawyer who previously represented Jussie Smollett and claimed the actor’s staged attack was carried out by black men wearing white makeup.
The president’s son, 54, has enlisted the help of Tina Glandian as a defamation case against Fox News is reportedly “imminent.”
Glandian is a partner in the firm of celebrity attorney Mark Geragos and has previously represented Smollett, Chris Brown, Kesha and even controversial figure Andrew Tate.
The New York-based attorney previously offered an explanation for why her client, the Empire actor, attempted to say that the black men he hired to carry out a fake attack were white.
He has insisted that a potential lawsuit against Fox News would focus on programming that “relentlessly attacked” Biden based on false accusations from accused former FBI informant Alexander Smirnov.

A letter from Glandian states that she and Geragos are considering filing a lawsuit alleging “conspiracy and subsequent actions to defame Mr. Biden and present him in a false light, the unlicensed commercial exploitation of his image, name and likeness, and the publication illegal use of pirated intimate images of you.
She believes Fox News made profits thanks to the “disinformation conspiracy” about her client.
The lawyer claims that the network should at least retract and/or correct its stories. However, Biden’s lawyers want Fox News audiences to know that the hosts “have been sharing” Smirnov’s “debunked allegation.”
Glandian previously insisted that his client Smollett did not recognize brothers Abel and Ola Osundairo when they were accused of attacking him on January 29, 2019.
At the time, he said the actor “found it hard to believe” because he had told police he could make out that one had “pale or white skin” around the eyes under the balaclava he was wearing.
During the police investigation into the incident, Chicago police concluded that Smollett had hired two brothers to carry out the crime.
Smollett was convicted of five counts of disorderly conduct, sentenced to 150 days in jail, 30 months of felony probation and $120,106 in restitution to the city of Chicago and a $25,000 fine.
However, he only served six days in jail before being released on March 16, 2022 when his attorney filed an appeal and the Cook County Court of Appeals denied it.
During the original sentencing hearing, Smollett screamed at the judge that he was innocent, warning that he was not suicidal and that if he died in custody, it would be someone else, not him, who would have taken his own life.
Glandian has represented high-profile clients including Kesha, Chris Brown, Mike Tyson and Andrew Tate.

The lawyer has also represented high-profile figure Andrew Tate.
His docket includes prosecuting claims against Eva Longoria by her former business partners in a business dispute in Las Vegas and defending bribery charges against Navnoor Kang in the Southern District of New York.
She studied Communication at the University of California, San Diego in 2003 before earning her J.D. from Loyola Law School in 2007.
Glandian joined Geragos in 2005 and after working in the Los Angeles office opened the New York office of the firm that she leads.
While away from the law, she is a licensed real estate broker in California.
A Fox News spokesperson said: ‘Hunter Biden’s lawyers have belatedly chosen to publicly attack Fox News’ constitutionally protected coverage of their client.
‘Mister. Biden is a public figure who has been the subject of investigations by both the Justice Department and Congress, has been charged by two different U.S. attorney’s offices in California and Delaware, and has admitted to multiple incidents of wrongdoing.
“In accordance with the First Amendment, Fox News has accurately covered these highly publicized events, as well as the subsequent indictment of an FBI informant who was the source of certain claims made about Mr. Biden.”
