Hunter Biden reveals that Joe chased him down the driveway and sobbed when he begged him to give up his drugs during an intervention during the campaign last year.
Hunter Biden has revealed in a new interview that his father chased him down the driveway of his home last year during an intervention during his presidential campaign to try to end his son’s drug abuse.
Hunter’s interview airs Monday morning on CBS. The network teased a trailer for it on Friday, in which he described the incident.
It took place during Joe’s campaign at the family home in Wilmington last year.
“I tried to get to my car, and my girls literally blocked the door of my car and said,” Daddy, Daddy, please. You can’t. No, no. ”
[He] grabbed me – hugged a bear, and he said – and just cried, and said – “I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what to do. Please,” Hunter said.
“I thought,” I need to figure out a way to tell him I’m going to do something so I can get hit again. ”
‘It’s the only thing I could think of. Literally. That’s how powerful. I don’t know of any strength stronger than the love of my family, except addiction, ”he said.
