Hundreds of migrants have tried to cross the border between Mexico and the United States this Sunday, through a border entry point in El Paso, Texas.

The United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has reported that this entry attempt has caused disruptions along the border, while authorities have erected barricades, as reported by CNN .

In this sense, they have added that they “implemented measures to tighten the port”, with the intention of “maintaining the legal and orderly flow of entry” while “protecting the security of legitimate trade and travel.”

The US authorities have reported similar attempts to cross the border at other entrances to the region, such as the Bridge of the Americas or the Stanton crossing, where they also erected temporary barriers, NBC reports.
