Hundreds of bargain hunters were evacuated from a busy shopping center after a bomb threat was launched on the complex.
Police responded to the explosive threat at the Stockland shopping center in Townsville at around 12:40 PM on Thursday.
“As a precaution, the mall was evacuated,” Queensland police told Daily Mail Australia.

“As a precaution, the mall was evacuated,” Queensland police told Daily Mail Australia
“Within an hour, the police were able to conduct an assessment and pronounce the threat of a hoax.”
Police are now investigating the possibility that the threat was made by young people.
The stores have since reopened.
