More human remains have been found on a stretch of California coast, just a day after a leg washed up at the same location.

A partial limb was discovered Thursday in the 6800 block of Paseo Del Mar in Palos Verdes Estates. SFGoes reports.

It comes after a family came across a stage on Bluff Cove Trail on the 800 block of Paseo Del Mar while out for a walk on Christmas Day.

Police used cadaver dogs to search the area but found no other evidence.

The remains washed up two miles from where two fishermen went missing on Christmas Eve.

The men, both described as being in their 50s, disappeared after their boat capsized near Cabrillo Beach amid forecasts of 13-foot waves.

Rescue crews began searching around 5:30 a.m. and quickly found their boat on some rocks around the 1800 block of Paseo Del Mar.

Several people who saw the wreck reported it KTLA News that the boat was full of holes and life jackets.

The discovery sparked a search along the coastline with several people trying to find signs of the missing men on foot.

Efforts also continued in the water with boats, jet skis and a drone trying to locate the men.

Due to the dangers of rough weather conditions, the search was scaled back. The Coast Guard finally announced the suspension on Wednesday after finding no evidence that the men could still be alive.

They have not released the identity of the fisherman, but have found no evidence indicating the remains are those of the missing boaters.

“We’re not ruling anything out, but that hasn’t been determined at this time,” Palos Verdes Estates Police Chief Aaron Belda noted.

Stunned locals have expressed concern over the recent gruesome finds.

“This is horrible,” said John Crayton, a Palos Verdes resident NBC. ‘It’s Christmas, it should be a time of joy. My heart goes out to the family.’

“It’s just shocking and it makes you wonder if you know and think this could have affected my family,” said Zully Ozuna, a beachgoer from Palos Verdes.

This isn’t the first time this year that human remains have been found along the rugged stretch.

On November 16, a human skull and bones were discovered on Rat Beach, located on the 200 block of Paseo Del Mar.

When officers from the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department arrived on the scene, they found more bones in the area.

“And sure enough, when they got there, they saw what looked like a skull and part of a skeleton, a torso in the surf,” Belda said. The daily breeze in November.

Investigators from the LA County Medical Examiner’s Office also responded to the call and ultimately confirmed that the bones were those of a human.

Information about the possible age or gender of the remains and information about the date or cause of death were not available after the discovery, prompting an investigation.
