<pre><pre>Hulu finally streams in 4K again

Hulu is badly behind Netflix and Amazon Prime Video when it comes to 4K streaming. In fact, the company stopped bailed for a while for a time after removing the UHD option last year. But today, as noted by AppleInsider, Hulu has very quiet announced that 4K playback is available again for customers using the Apple TV 4K or Chromecast Ultra. Hopefully the list of supported platforms is expanding, but for now it is only those two devices.

Hulu says so 4K content streams with an average of 16 Mbps, compared to 6 Mbps for 1080p or 3 Mbps for 720p. If you are dealing with data sheets for internet at home, that might be good to keep in mind.

Regarding selection, Hulu & # 39; s original shows such as The Handmaid & # 39; s Tale can be viewed in 4K. But that really matters, with all other content on 1080p. In contrast, both Netflix and Amazon offer films and TV shows in UHD outside of their own originals.

Parent company Disney will make a much larger and more extensive push to 4K HDR when launching Disney + later this year, with the best presentation in its class of films, including that of Marvel.
