The Hull City chairman has revealed why Liam Rosenior was sacked just three months after signing a new contract.
Acun Ilicali made the decision to let the Tigers coach go on Tuesday following the conclusion of the championship season over the weekend.
Hull, who lost 1-0 away to relegation-threatened Plymouth on the final day, finished seventh overall in the Championship, failing to reach the play-off final that the club and owner had hoped for.
Ilicali therefore made the decision to relieve Rosenior of his duties, much to the surprise of several Hull fans who thought he had earned their trust after an impressive year and a half at the club.
The Turkish businessman has now revealed the reason for his decision and has pointed more to the future than to the past.

The club finished seventh in the Championship, falling short of their promotion hopes.
Acun Ilicali (in the photo) explained that Rosenior’s philosophy did not adapt to what the club wants
“Liam is a very good coach and will be very successful,” he began in a statement to BBC Humberside. ‘There are so many positive things.
“At the end of the day, my team and I dream of something for this club and there is a style of football we want to see on the pitch.
“Liam’s football philosophy is very good and he may be successful, but we don’t think it suits our character for the future.”
Hull fans were left somewhat bewildered by the decision to sack Rosenior, who had signed a three-year contract just a few months ago.
He was shortlisted for Championship Manager of the Season at the end-of-season EFL awards and had the club in the play-offs by the time he signed his new contract in December.
He steered the club away from relegation last season and rose through the league this season, but did not reach the heights apparently expected of him from the top.
The likes of Steve Cooper (pictured) have been linked with the now vacant City role.
Hull had a disappointing end to the season with just two wins from six games, as they drew with Middlesbrough, Watford and Ipswich Town, before losing to Plymouth.
Names in the frame to be the club’s next manager include former Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper and former Rennes player Will Still.
