A builder who looks like Hugh Grant has said fans stop him for selfies every day and can’t believe he isn’t film star Grant.

The father of four only noticed similarities with Grant when he turned forty.

“I get mistaken for it. It’s constant. It’s everywhere,” said Nigel, from Port Talbot, south Wales.

‘Almost every day someone stops me and asks for a photo. My face turns red and I tell them I’m not him.

“I get mistaken for it. It’s constant. It’s everywhere,” said Nigel, from Port Talbot, south Wales.

‘When I’m working, clients point it out to me. If I take my wife to a restaurant, people come up and say “you look like Hugh Grant.”

‘A guy in a restaurant asked me for a photo to send to his wife. It happens in the supermarket, on the street, in restaurants. I can see people looking and thinking “is that him?”

Nigel says it’s not just his looks that make him look like the actor, but he’s also a “gentleman.”

Nigel said: ‘I’m a gentleman. I keep the doors open for people, women and men. I am kind to everyone.

‘Once I was leaving a store and helped a lady who was struggling with her stroller.

‘I didn’t know this woman so I assumed she had been discussing the issue with someone. I just accept it.’

His wife Leah, 47, is a fan of the star and Nigel says she has “no complaints” about her husband being her lookalike.

Nigel added: “I’m flattered by that. We like Hugh Grant and we like his films. We like Notting Hill.

“I hope my wife thinks he’s a handsome guy.” She doesn’t complain though.
