Hugh Sheridan talks about being bullied and struggling with confidence as a child
Hugh Sheridan has opened up about his struggles with self-confidence and bullying in his youth.
In a lengthy post, the 35-year-old actor revealed that he was bullied as a child.
“I remembered that when I was a young boy of 12 with no self-confidence and already a face full of acne, I kept going to school to face bullies,” he wrote.

When I was older and lost a lot of auditions and could have given up, I kept going, knowing that the only way forward was by standing on foot in front of the other person.
‘I wanted to share this in case you too feel the same way and needed a reminder to count your blessings, start with running water or the phone you are holding if you need to, start small and know there’s always someone worse off, ‘he finished.
The Packed To The Rafters actor accompanied the post with a flattering photo showing off his ripped physique on the beach.
Hugh recently proposed to his 29-year-old friend, banker Kurt Roberts.

The pair are wasting little time on the go and have confirmed that they will officially tie the knot in Sydney on New Year’s Eve.
In a recent interview with The Daily TelegraphHugh recently confirmed that he and Kurt, 29, have starred together.
The star said the attraction was ‘immediate’ between the two when they caught their eye at a party at a Darlinghurst mansion formerly owned by Baz Luhrmann in November.

The actor revealed he was a bit ahead of his approach to dating Kurt, so he stepped back and enjoyed courting him in an ‘old school’ romantic way.
“There was no rush,” he said.
“We just went out to dinner and did it very slowly and I did everything by the book because deep down I knew this guy was here to stay,” he added.
