Hugh Jackman has a reputation for being one of the nicest guys in show business.
But the Australian actor has admitted that he is not always as charming as he seems and that he is “not proud” of some of his past behavior on film sets.
“I’m not always nice,” the 55-year-old confessed in a candid interview with The Guardian last year, which has resurfaced this week on social media.
“I’m sure I’ve had moments on set where I haven’t been nice,” the Wolverine star continued.
“And sometimes I’ve behaved on set where I yelled a little bit or did something that I was angry about and I’m not proud of.”

Hugh says he always regrets it if he behaves in a way that doesn’t align with the way he was raised.
“I had a great example, particularly from my father, of always trying to be respectful. “Everyone tries their best,” he stated.
“And my experience is that if you show up, you give it your all, you act respectfully, that’s usually what you get from other people.”
It comes after Hugh revealed the hardest part of returning to his role as superhero Wolverine in the latest Deadpool film.

He says that as age catches up with him, training to transform into the muscular beast of the big screen is harder than ever.
“The hardest thing… (was) the food,” the Free Guy actor said. People magazine this week.
‘I have to eat a lot. For me, for my body type, I’m naturally thin. Getting the size, that’s the hardest thing. That’s what bothers me.
He added: “My body was a little sore at first, but I was delighted that my body was still responding.” And I realized how good it is for your brain.
Hugh announced his shock split from Deborra-Lee in September after 27 years of marriage, telling fans they separated “to pursue our individual growth.”
He shares two adopted children, son Oscar, 24, and daughter Ava, 18, with his ex-wife.
“And sometimes I’ve behaved on set where I yelled a little bit or did something that I was angry about and I’m not proud of,” he added.
“We have been fortunate to share almost three decades together in a wonderful and loving marriage,” the couple said in a statement to People.
‘Our journey is now changing and we have decided to part ways to pursue our individual growth.
‘Our family has been and always will be our top priority. We face this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition.”
The couple married in 1996 after crossing paths on the set of Correlli in 1995.
A source previously told ET that there is “no animosity” between the exes.
“Hugh and Deborra-Lee are on different pages and in separate chapters of their lives,” they said.
“They felt it was time to divorce, but they still maintain a happy and cordial friendship.”
The source went on to say that Hugh and Deborra-Lee “are grateful for the many years they spent together and their children.”
“At the end of the day, it was their collective agreement to go their separate ways and do what was healthiest for everyone involved,” they added.
