Hugh Jackman enjoyed a surf session on Tuesday, but it didn’t all go to plan.

The actor, 52, shared a number of videos and photos from the field trip and admitted falling off the board after taking the impressive footage.

The star of The Greatest Showman wrote in his caption, ‘Video edited to just before I faded away.’

Hugh seemed to be enjoying an electronic surfboard session – using a board powered by a battery-powered motor.

In the video, Hugh glided effortlessly across the water, despite no waves in sight.

It comes after the star expressed love for his beloved pets, dogs Dali and Allegra, on National Puppy Day.

In an Instagram post, Hugh shared a portrait photo of herself with dog Allegra in a throwback photo.

“ In honor of #nationalpuppyday, I think it’s only good to revisit the first day #Allegra joined our family, ” he wrote.

Allegra is a mix of poodle and terrier. While Dali, named after artist Salvador Dali, is a French bulldog.

Hugh is based in New York City with his wife, actress and adoption activist Deborra-Lee Furness.

The couple met on the set of the Australian drama Correlli in 1995 and married in 1996.

After moving to the US in the early 2000s, they adopted two children: son Oscar, now 20, and daughter Ava, now 15.
