Hugh Jackman has given us an insight into his skincare routine as he shares the reality of being 55.
The Australian actor, 55, took to Instagram on Thursday to share a selfie of himself indulging in some self-care while revealing the secrets to his ageless looks.
In the snap, Hugh flashed a smile as he sported a pair of hydrating gold under-eye masks – a luxurious touch to his otherwise relaxing skincare regime.
She joked about the reality of being a Hollywood star at 55 in a caption as she wrote alongside the post: “This is 55.”
Her post sparked confusion among fans, who took to the comments to wish her a happy birthday, even though she will actually turn 55 on October 12, 2023.
Just hours earlier, Hugh also added to his long-standing “rivalry” with Ryan Reynolds when he launched a blatant attack on his Marvel co-star in another post.
The Hollywood star posted a photograph of American actor Ryan, 47, along with a series of insults as their online war of words continued.
The Deadpool and Wolverine co-stars have a history of mocking each other online in a playful yet wild rivalry, when in reality they are close friends.

In his latest dig, Hugh wrote a few choice words alongside a photo of Ryan wearing a white T-shirt and navy pants as he looked and pointed at the camera.
On the table behind him were two red and yellow bags, the colors referencing Ryan’s famous Deadpool costume and Hugh’s yellow Wolverine suit.
In a caption accompanying the video, Hugh joked: “You want me to save this?” – Ryan Reynolds, co-star, dork, moron.
In response to the comment, Ryan replied: “This photo is from my private collection. How dare you?”
Ryan’s wife Blake Lively also got involved in the exchange when she left a hilarious comment about her husband’s very muscular figure in the photograph.
Just hours earlier, Hugh also continued his long-running ‘rivalry’ with Ryan Reynolds when he launched a blatant attack on his Marvel co-star in another post (both pictured in Deadpool and Wolverine).
The Australian actor, 55, took to Instagram on Thursday to share a snap of Ryan, 47, along with a string of insults as their online war of words continued.
“My thirst has been quenched,” she wrote mischievously in a comment that quickly racked up more than 4,200 likes.
Their playful rivalry began more than a decade ago, during Ryan’s marriage to his first wife, Scarlett Johansson, from 2008 to 2011.
Hugh told the Daily Beast: “It’s been so long… God, this is a classic sign that your feud has been going on for too long, and you don’t even know why or how it started.”
‘I met him on Wolverine and I admired him a lot because he was very good friends with Scarlett.
‘Scarlett had just married Ryan, so when she came on set I was like, “Hey, you better be on your best behavior, dude, because I’m watching you,” and we started making fun of it.’
Known for her pranks, Ryan’s wife Blake Lively also got in on the joke when she left a hilarious comment about her husband’s muscular figure, writing: “My thirst has been trapped.”
Things then “escalated” when Ryan took on the role of Deadpool, proving a match for Hugh’s beloved portrayal of Wolverine, and their characters met in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009).
Since then, the pair have continued to poke fun and troll each other on social media, never shying away from the opportunity to play funny pranks on each other.
“There’s no doubt it’s hilarious because, let’s face it, it’s one of the great sports – it should be an Olympic sport – trolling Ryan Reynolds,” Hugh joked.
“I’m pretty sure I’ll go for gold, but I think everyone would enjoy this sport. I think every child should play it.”
They’ll soon be bringing their friendly rivalry to the big screen, starring opposite each other in Marvel’s upcoming epic, Deadpool & Wolverine.
Hugh has played Wolverine since 2000’s X-Men and his journey came to an end in the 2017 film Logan, which is set in 2029 where mutants are nearly extinct.
Ryan and Hugh have a history of teasing and taking shots at each other online in a playful yet wild rivalry, when in reality they are close friends.
However, Hugh will now reprise his role for the upcoming release, which will not alter the events of Logan or his emotional death as it occurs in a different timeline.
“Thanks to this device that they have in the Marvel world of moving through timelines, we can now go back because it’s ‘science,'” Hugh told The Jess Cagle Show in 2022.
“That way I don’t have to mess with Logan’s timeline, which was important to me and I think probably to the fans as well.”
Deadpool & Wolverine is set to premiere on July 26 and will see the two superheroes join forces in an action-packed spectacular.
The trailer has hinted at a rivalry between the two, as they are shown fighting each other in a tense standoff before reluctantly joining forces in a comedic duo.
