In a massive fire at a restaurant and bakery in West London, 80 firefighters fought flames that spanned miles of smoke.
The London Fire Brigade said it received more than 50 calls about the fire, and 15 fire trucks were present on Minerva Road in Park Royal.
The fire brigade said the fire hit a bakery and restaurant, but no injuries were reported.

The thick plume of smoke was visible for miles. Chris Shaw, a 38-year-old sound and lighting engineer living nearby, said, “I was concerned about the owners, so took a walk to make sure they were safe.”

Initially, it was reported that the fire took place in a shop with apartments above it, but the fire brigade later said that no homes were involved.
“There is a lot of thick black smoke, so please close your doors and windows if you are in the area,” the fire service tweeted.
It previously added the ‘complex and serious’ fire, which is now under control, meaning firefighters would be on site all Thursday evening.
This morning, the fire brigade posted an update: “Firefighters worked all night to get Park Royal’s bakery fire under control.
“Fortunately, there were no injuries.”
Chris Shaw, a 38-year-old sound and lighting engineer, said, “I live five minutes away and I was at home seeing the plumes of smoke that were huge.
“Just 20 minutes before I got to the post office next to the fire, so I was worried about the owners, so took a walk to make sure they were safe.”
