It must be nice to be a Premier League player and have the summers off. (Just kidding, remember the Olympics? And Euro 2024?) But despite the fact that many of the league’s players bounced from tournament to tournament in their offseason, they’re all back in action this weekend for the official start of the Premier League season. The top flight of English soccer league kicks off again on Friday, August 16 with a match between Manchester City and Fulham. If you’re in the U.S. and want to watch this weekend’s matches, some of them will be available to stream on Peacock or to watch live on NBC, Universo, Telemundo, or USA Network, but you can also tune in each play with the help of a VPN.

Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch the 2024-2025 Premier League season if you’re in the US, including this weekend’s full schedule, where you can watch the matches live, and how you can stream them with a VPN.

Dates: From August 16, 2024 to May 25, 2025

TV Channel: NBC, United States, CNBC, Universo, Telemundo

Where to watch streaming:Peacock, Hulu with Live TV, DirecTV, YouTubeTV, Fubo or with a VPN

As is the case in every season of the English football league system, the bottom three teams in the standings at the end of the season are relegated to the Championship League, while the top three teams in the Championship League are promoted to the Premier League. • Arsenal

  • Aston Villa

  • Bournemouth

  • Brentford

  • Brighton and Hove Albion

  • Chelsea

  • Crystal Palace

  • Everton

  • Fulham

  • Ipswich Town (promoted this season)

  • Leicester City (promoted this season)

  • Liverpool

  • Manchester City

  • Manchester United

  • Newcastle United

  • Nottingham Forest

  • Southampton (promoted this season)

  • Tottenham Hotspur

  • West Ham United

  • Wolverhampton Wanderers

The 2024-24 Premier League season kicks off on Friday, August 16, 2024, with a match between Manchester City and Chelsea at 3:00 p.m. (US Eastern Time). The season will run until May 25, 2025.

Premier League matches are streamed via a combination of NBC, CNBC, USA Network, Peacock, and Universo. So, to watch all the matches, you’ll need a combination of Peacock and cable or a live TV streaming service (or the help of a VPN – more on that below).

While you can tune into some of the Premier League matches live on Peacock for a subscription fee, you can also watch all of this season’s live matches with the help of a VPN. If you use a VPN with a location set to a different country, you can tune into all 380 matches from this season.

Oddly enough, you’ll want to set up your VPN not in England, but in countries like Canada, where you can subscribe to FuboTV (for much less than it costs in the US), Australia, where you can subscribe to Optus Sportor New Zealand, where you can subscribe to Sky sportsfor full coverage of the games. (In the UK, only half of all games played are streamed live, so if you’re reading this from the UK, a VPN might help you out too!)

A VPN (virtual private network) helps protect your data, can hide your IP address, and is perhaps most popular for being especially useful in the age of streaming.
