Mom Turns $99 Kmart Dollhouse Into Spooky Wednesday Addams-Inspired Haunted Version For Her ‘Cool’ Daughter

A creative mom showed off her DIY skills by transforming a $99 Kmart dollhouse into a Wednesday Addams-inspired mansion.
The mother said her daughter is quirky, just like the main character in the hit Netflix show.
My daughter wanted a haunted house/Wednesday house in Adams. She said.
“You were looking for a house that could look Victorian, a bit of paint some copper wire lights, we have a haunted house,” she said, pleased with her efforts.
The design includes a distinctive stained glass window in the successful display.

Her daughter wanted a haunted house or something that looked like it belonged to the Addams family
“I just drew a white circle and then used sharpies to draw the outline and color in,” she said when people asked her where she got the poster.
It also includes the “thing” that floats creepily on top.
She laughed, “We got the ‘thing’ off Ebay, it’s like foam but it’s harder, we need something softer because my daughter likes to hold it.
The house is painted black inside and out, with all the furniture matching the color and mood.
The mom revealed the cost of the fixtures including paint and lights was between $100 and $150, more than the $99 she made for the house.

The house contained a spooky, life-size version of “The Thing”
People were impressed.
One woman said, ‘You’re probably the coolest mom I know.
‘This is amazing and I think it’s better than any store bought would have if they actually made it,’ said another.
A third added, “This is really very scary, I love it.”
The mom explained that her daughter loves the quirky character and has undead dolls like Chucky and Annabelle, so the house is a perfect fit.
